We had the good fortune of connecting with Alison Stine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alison, what principle do you value most?
Empathy, Ethics, and Education are the three pillars for me and my business. Empathy is very important because finances can be a very tough and emotional topic to discuss. I need to understand where the client is coming from, how they view money and their goals, and know that couples may share different experiences or views. I work to empathize with my clients to help build trust and customize their plans. Ethics are extremely important in all industries, but especially within the realm of finances. When I work with a client I need to thoroughly learn about them before creating a plan or recommending options, so that I can always work in their best interest. Lastly Education, I love to educate my clients and empower them to understand what options they have and how they can work toward their financial goals. I also focus on educating myself and constantly growing and improving my skillset and knowledge.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Stine Wealth Management, PLLC is a woman-owned financial advising firm. We work with individuals and business owners to help them create investment and retirement plans. A few things that set us apart – attention to detail, responsiveness, thoroughness, kindness, and organized. Before starting my own company 3 years ago, I worked for about 7 years with a larger firm which gave me the opportunity to get licensed and build a client base, as well as management experience, and industry experience. Ultimately, I decided to start Stine Wealth Management to have more focus on quality over quantity, the client experience, and be able to create my own service model and onboarding structure. It has not been easy, but I have continued to work hard, stay positive, and help others through client relationships and community involvement. I want the world to know that it is so important to build good financial habits early on and to continue to build your savings and investments over time with the support of the right advisor.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There is so much to do and see in Scottsdale! I would recommend they visit in the Spring when the weather is beautiful. We would go on a few hikes, check out some Spring Training baseball games, and explore Old Town Scottsdale. We would definitely go to the Farmer’s Market on Saturday and walk around to a local coffee shop or cafe. Of course, we will eat at some of the amazing restaurants around here, there are so many you could go to a new one every day. Some of my favorites include Olive & Ivy, Fellow Osteria, Ocean 44, and Diego Pops. Scottsdale is such a welcoming and fun city, I really love living here and always encourage friends to visit.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband is my number one supporter. He has always respected my career goals and supported me through ups and downs. I am working on better boundaries but I used to work crazy hours, not be home for dinner, and drag him to a lot of various events. He always loves to hear about my day and motivates me to continue to work hard and help others.
