We had the good fortune of connecting with Allen Acedo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Allen, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my business is the team training environment created for my community. I’ve been in the fitness industry my entire life and over the years I’ve learned that the experience of my members has the biggest impact on my businesses ability to grow sustainably.

This idea of success comes from the challenges I’ve faced in building multiple brand name fitness studios in very competitive and saturated fitness cities. When people visit my fitness studio, they initially want to get in shape or make some healthy lifestyle changes. Overtime, the excitement of trying something new may diminish and all that keeps people coming back is the energy, inclusivity and experience they receive from the team training environment.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I made my career as a consulting manager for boutique fitness franchises such as Orange Theory Fitness & more recently F45 Training. My journey started as a young certified trainer nearly 10 years ago. My ambition at that time was to simply have a job that allowed me to work within the fitness industry to align my passion for helping people achieve happier, healthier lifestyles and maintain a high energy, fitness focused lifestyle of my own. I’m happy to report I made the right decision and I’m doing just that in my career today as a fitness director for both F45 Training and Earn Your Booze.

I’ve worn a lot of different hats throughout my career in the fitness industry. As a personal trainer, a group motivator, a health coach, a mindset mentor, a trainer developer, an event coordinator, a studio manager, and most recently a fitness director I’ve undoubtably embraced my calling. To me, the beautiful part about having worn all these hats is that each had it’s purpose in helping me build up to the leader and successful fitness professional that I am today.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along my journey is that growing professionally never gets any easier. No matter how much experience I have or how much money I make, my growth is always challenged by change. In order to become better and achieve new levels of success I have to adapt, build, learn and be open to changing who I am in order to become who I want to be.

I’m proud of who I am, and what I’ve created in my life both professionally and personally. Why? I had a challenging upbringing. My parents were divorced. I didn’t graduate college. I’ve been divorced. I’ve lost jobs. I’ve had health issues. I lost my father. I could’ve lost sight of what I wanted in life a long time ago but I didn’t. What I want the world to know about me from this story is that I continue to create energy for myself, my businesses, my clients, my staff and my family each and everyday because it’s a choice. I choose fulfillment, happiness and health as well as helping others do the same.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When it comes to showing my visiting friends the best time ever in my city I always start in Old Town Scottsdale. Right in the middle of some of the best restaurants, bars & shopping in AZ, Old Town Scottsdale is easily my favorite spots to entertain my guests.

There are truly so many different places to check out in Old Town.

My go-to drink spots would be Gold Water Brewing, The Scapegoat, The Blue Clover and Kelly’s. If the night goes a bit later, the bar scene of Riot House, HiFi & Maya are never a disappointment.

If were in the right season, my favorite thing to do is catch a spring training baseball game. Lucky us, we have all the teams you could ask for doing their spring training down here in AZ. My top facility to visit is Salt River Fields just north of Old Town Scottsdale, where both the Colorado Rockies and AZ Diamondbacks play. Also, located in another fun area just minutes away from casinos and Top Golf.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout Justin Cross, CEO of Earn Your Booze, for giving me the opportunity years ago to grow and develop my skills as a fitness and event coordinator allowing me to impact the lives of thousands of people across the nation.

I’d also like to recognize my friends/trainers at F45 Training Scottsdale Old Town. The level of success I have reached today as a regional fitness director would not have been possible without their support and hard-work.

Lastly, I’d like to thank my family for always believing in my ability to create my energy in life. To my girlfriend & my mom for their unwavering love and support. To my brother and dad for always challenging me to be better and helping me recognize I deserve only the best.

I am forever and always grateful.
