We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, what do you attribute your success to?
I LOVE this question and it is the most unsexy answer…the most important factor behind my success is CONSISTENCY.

I’ve showed up when I didn’t feel like it.
I’ve showed up when the results I got sucked.
I’ve showed up when things didn’t work.
I’ve showed up when my life was busy.
I’ve showed up when it felt like I should have been further along.
I’ve showed up when others got quiet.

I believe any business model will work when you are willing to be resilient and hold the future vision you have for your business life so vividly and clearly that it propels you into consistent action. I’ve just known I was here for a big purpose and I want to model that consistency for the people I lead.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We run two group coaching experiences. The Framework Builder Lab, where I help coaches create their signature coaching framework so they can stand out in their niche. Our long-term coaching community is called the Best Damn Coach where we help coaches grow their coaching toolbox and their entrepreneur skill.

What sets me apart is we are 100% client-focused. In an industry that often focuses on revenue and sales, we focus on client success. We pride ourselves in being invested in our client’s success and high retention rates within our boutique coaching practice.

Our growth has been steady over time. I am not an overnight success, but have started my business from scratch to 7 figures through the unsexy art of consistency. I showed up when I didn’t feel like it. When things flopped, I kept going. When my expectations didn’t meet reality, I kept going. I don’t think that this is talked about enough…it’s not the strategy that brings success it’s self-belief and a commitment to your own long-term vision.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a native to AZ and have my favorite places for sure! Down home in the valley, any evening spot where you have a full view of a sunset is breathtaking. I’d take them to co-work and hang out at Well Coffee Company. I’d take a kick-butt CrossFit class at my home gym. CrossFit Incendia. I love spending time in the Biltmore area, which has literally a fantastic restaurant on every corner. Breakfast at Snooze for a gluten pancake is so yummy. And a margarita and tacos at my favorite childhood Mexican restaurant, Carumbas. I’d take a day trip to Sedona to hike the Coffee Pot trail and then grab a “Local Latte” at the Local Juicery. On the way home, a must-have is a slice of pie from Rock Springs.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Coaches and mentors have played a significant role in my life and, truthfully have been the ones that have planted seeds since I was a little girl to step into becoming a coach myself. From my first basketball coach (shoutout to Mrs. Knight) to the many business mentors I’ve had along the way in more recent years.

But truthfully, the people who really are my greatest support are my family. They have been a consistent source of self-belief since I was a child. My parents have been the ones who have stood behind every endeavor I’ve jumped into and have whispered in my ear, “I am so proud of you.”

And now, my husband and our kiddos are the day in and day that deserve the greatest shouout. From the small things, leaving notes of encouragement in my luggage, to pumping me up before a big speaking event, the three of them give me the greatest confidence about my purpose and mission in my business. It’s the most amazing feeling to be chasing my dreams right in front of my kids and empowering them to do the same.
