We had the good fortune of connecting with Amandelyn Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amandelyn, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I am disabled veteran with PTSD and my journey towards wellness began when I started practicing yoga and meditation several days a week. This significantly improved my overall health and well-being.

Wanting to share these benefits, I completed my 200hour Yoga teacher training certification.

A few months after my certifications, I had a vision to open my own studio to share with others the benefits of Yoga and wellness.

What should our readers know about your business?
At our studio in Yuma, AZ, we uniquely offer Aerial and Sling yoga classes, Pilates, Tai Chi, Yoga Nidra, Aerial sound baths, and Acuwellness. This diverse range of classes creates a holistic approach to health and well-being, perfect for those seeking physical fitness, mental relaxation, and overall rejuvenation. Whether your goal is to strengthen your body, calm your mind, or explore new movements, our offerings cater to everyone.

I founded Tranquility to share the profound healing benefits of Yoga and other practices with our community, having experienced these benefits firsthand. As a disabled veteran with PTSD, I found that our holistic approach allowed me to completely transition off my medications and heal both physically and mentally. My passion lies in offering these transformative experiences to others, empowering them to discover their own paths to health, peace, and balance.

Connecting with clients and addressing their individual needs on their wellness journeys is deeply rewarding. By understanding each person’s unique goals and challenges, I can provide personalized guidance and support, helping them reach their full potential and lead healthier, more balanced lives. This personalized approach fosters a strong sense of community and ensures that every individual receives the care and attention they deserve.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love relaxing and eating good food. I find peace in boating on the Colorado river, taking rides in the desert and hiking Telegraph pass, dining at Autentico Sapore Italiano, the best authentic Italian food in Yuma which sits in the inside the Colorado River State Historic Park, Julieanna’s Steakhouse outdoor dining and listening to live bands and River City grill for it’s good food and relaxing atmosphere.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to Kootenay Yoga School in Joshua Tree, CA where I did my 200 hour Yoga teacher training. The two-week immersive experience was a transformative journey that nurtures your mind, body, and spirit.
