We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Tait and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk-taking is something we often shy away from as we get older, but it’s essential to remember that the risks we’ve taken throughout our lives have shaped who we are today. For example, when I was 19, I took a leap of faith and decided to study abroad in Florence, Italy—a place where I knew no one and was thousands of miles away from home. It was a bold move that pushed me out of my comfort zone.

Later in life, I took another significant risk by moving from California to Arizona in my 30s, without any family nearby. That experience taught me resilience and adaptability. Eventually, I took the ultimate risk by starting my own company. This decision not only fueled my passion but also provided me with more freedom, growth, and financial success than I ever found in the corporate world.

Risk-taking is crucial for growth; it’s the only way to step out of our comfort zones and unlock our greatest potential. Each risk I’ve taken has been a stepping stone towards a richer, more fulfilling life and career.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business, Tait’s Consulting LLC, is rooted in my deep understanding of both sides of the hiring equation—I’ve been the candidate striving for a chance and the employer seeking the perfect fit. This dual perspective allows me to create tailored strategies that not only find the right talent but also ensure their success within the organization. What sets my business apart is the unique combination of personal experience, a robust educational background, and over a decade of hands-on industry experience.

I’m most proud of the impact we’ve had on both businesses and individuals. We don’t just fill roles; we transform teams by aligning talent with company goals, driving high performance and long-term success. Seeing companies thrive because of the connections we facilitate is incredibly rewarding.

Getting to where I am today was far from easy. The journey involved a lot of hard work, persistence, and continuous learning. One major challenge was starting my own company after years in corporate America. Transitioning from a secure job to entrepreneurship required a leap of faith and a strong belief in my vision. To overcome these challenges, I leaned heavily on the principles I grew up with—commitment, follow-through, and a mindset of abundance. I also relied on the education I received at Pepperdine University, which equipped me with the tools and confidence to navigate the complexities of international business and leadership.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is the importance of embracing discomfort and uncertainty. Growth happens outside of our comfort zones, and it’s essential to trust the process even when the path isn’t clear. Another key lesson is the power of connections—building relationships and creating win-win situations has been central to our success.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that we are passionate about people. At Tait’s Consulting LLC, we believe that the right talent can transform a business, and we are dedicated to making those connections happen. We don’t just fill positions; we build teams that drive success. Our story is one of perseverance, passion, and an unwavering commitment to helping others achieve their full potential.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors, supporters, and a community of inspiring leaders throughout my journey. One person who significantly influenced my early days as an entrepreneur is Rebecca Cafiero, founder of The Pitch Club. Rebecca is a mom of two, a wife, and a successful businesswoman. I saw many similarities between us, which drew me to her. The community she built has been instrumental in supporting women entrepreneurs, including myself, both in my early beginnings and as I continue to grow in my professional development and career aspirations.
