We had the good fortune of connecting with Anicka Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anicka, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am from California originally. My grandmother had a store and was a businesswoman. She had me working in her store at a young age and I loved it. She taught me so much and how to focus on providing the customer with a great experience. It was wonderful to have responsibilities as a young woman and to get paid to work at a young age. Me and my cousins always reflect on this and how we all got this great lesson from her. I am so thankful for her example. Being immersed in that environment laid a great foundation for me to become a businesswoman and entrepreneur.

What should our readers know about your business?
Eneka Elements is a Moment Movement. We specialize in “Legendary hair and skin for women and men.”

Eneka Elements started by bringing an option to the people who wanted holistic products they could trust. We answered the call and focused on providing holistic products targeted toward living our best life, inside and out. We provide luxury baths, skincare, hair care, and total relaxation moments. Our focus is creating a “Self-Care Revolution” through selfless, self-care. We focus on using ingredients from Africa to Arizona.

You may not have a lot of time but there’s always a moment for self-care. By formulating self-care products that are quick to use and quality we provide something valuable for everyone. Specializing in spa quality items to use at home bring the relaxation home. We provide the moment for you. It is up to you to take it.

We love to relax and provide products that help with relaxation and products that offer a solution to a problem. Eneka Elements specializes in helping those with dry, itchy skin and dry, brittle hair by focusing on the benefits of Shea Butter. I also provide products that help people relax using magnesium as the main ingredient to do that.

Magnesium helps support the natural production of collagen. It also improves skin elasticity and provides hydration when used on the skin and even the scalp. Magnesium soothes skin to alleviate redness and inflammation that can accompany dry skin and hair. Our focus is to reduce redness and inflammation that causes itchiness and dryness on the scalp and the skin.

We stand out by using ethical Shea Butter.

Ethically sourced shea butter is produced by women-led cooperatives in West Africa. These cooperatives ensure fair labor practices and provide women with fair wages for their work. They also invest in community development programs, such as education and healthcare initiatives.

Ethical Shea Butter means enabling all people in the Shea Butter supply chain to improve their working conditions, their lives, and the quality of their products, and in turn, to become better organized and negotiate fair prices. Ethical shea butter is good for business and has a positive social impact.

Shea Butter is native to Sub-Saharan Africa. It can improve the skin’s natural barrier by containing fatty acids like lineoleic, oleic, palmatic, and stearic acids. It is an emollient and also has Vitamin A and Vitamin E in it. It helps boost moisture and it has anti-inflammatory properties that help improve the quality of skin and hair. It can improve the texture of rough dry skin naturally.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1:

I would take them to work out the jet lag at Lifetime Fitness.
We would get a nice workout and then swim in the huge swimming pool.
After we could do the sauna or enjoy the steam room with eucalyptus-infused air.

Once rejuvenated we would go to Tempe marketplace for shopping and food at The Thirsty Lion and maybe catch a movie too.

Day 2:

I would take them to Kiwanis Lake for a walk, meditation and to get some chill vibes by the water with a relaxing picnic with fruit and a charcuterie board for lunch.

For some art fun, we would go to Wonderspaces in Scottsdale to see over a dozen immersive, interactive, and conversation-provoking artworks. It is a great experience for locals and visitors.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery is a great spot for lunch or dinner. It has a wine-tasting area and delicious food. The service is excellent and it is a great spot for celebrations.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom. She is my biggest cheerleader in all of this. She is so inspiring and uplifting I owe so much of my drive and success to her teachings. I am so thankful to have such an amazing mother. I only hope to be half the mom she is. I am so blessed and grateful for her daily.
