Meet Anthony Feghali | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Feghali and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always felt as if this was my path from about the age 15. I would always buy stuff from garage sales and then sell them on ebay or craigslist, or at school. If you calculated the time it took versus how much I earned I was probably making below minimum wage, but it wasn’t about the money. I just really enjoyed the act of being a merchant. At age 17 I decided to start my own brand. My thought process was that entrepreneurship was genuinely what was interesting to me – I was willing to put in the hours learning and improving becasue I genuinely enjoyed it.

What should our readers know about your business?
My company, Dubby Energy, is a powdered energy drink that you mix at home. We’ve taken out all the bad ingredients that are common in other energy drinks like maltodextrin filler, artificial colors and dyes, sugars and proprietary blends. All of our flavors are custom made by us and our energy drink has no jitters or crash. It’s perfect to drink in replacement of daily coffees or canned energy drinks.
At Dubby, I am most proud about the ripple effect we have made in this industry in just a short one and half years. We went from absolutely no one knowing what we were to now a ton of chatter across social media about us and our product. Now, I frequently catch larger competitors copying our style, which to me is a sign we are making noise and also a flattering compliment.
I’ve been doing this nine years now. It’s been a lot of learning. I got to where I am today through nothing but hard work and a lot of trial and error. The get rich quick route unfortunately doesn’t exist. You have to build yourself up brick by brick, day by day. It’s not easy, and thats ok. There were a lot of challenges over the years, and the only way to overcome them is to not quit when major roadblocks appear, to figure out a way to make things work. To pivot when needed, and to double down when things go right.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my mentor Andrew F, he is a killer entrepreneur and since I started this journey, he has always answered the phone and helped me with any high level questions I may have. I respect his input and feedback because he has been through the struggles and overcame them and has a lot to show for it. I believe all entrepreneurs should have atleast one person they can look up to and call for advice.
