Meet Anthony Sanchez | Founder/CEO of Majic•Musick•Records•LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The idea was simple, “I needed to work for myself”. I woke up one day tired of working for someone else, and had reached a point in my life where I no longer felt happy with living a normal 9-5 routine. I decided that if I could figure out a way to monetize my passions, no only would I become financially free but more importantly. I would wake up doing what I genuinely love, in turn never working another day in my life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My signature style and sound derived from a multitude of inspirations and genres. I am most proud of the infrastructure created in the past 2 years. I’ve been able to get SEO verified on Google, establishing a music label MAJIC•MUSICK•RECORDS•LLC on May 13th, 2020. The following year on June 14th 2021, I was offered a professional recording contract in the amount of $500,000 USD for the rights to my music by Stones Throw Records. I own the Trademark, Masters, and Publishing Rights for all my music. As well as the intellectual property rights to the stage name PROFESSOR MAJIC with the USPTO. I learned how to do this all on my own, managing myself by utilizing the resources at my disposal. I am currently undergoing the most challenging parts of my musical career as amateur hour has officially ended. Entering a new unknown professional level of the music industry after signing a distribution deal on February 4th, 2022 with Equity Distribution. I am now partnered with the nephew of one of the most powerful men in Hip-Hop and looking forward to what the future holds. I have overcome alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness going on over 2 years of not drinking, using drugs, and working for myself. These have been the most difficult years of my life by far and I’ve learned more then I could ever explain in a single paragraph. My Brand represents DREAM HUSTLE ACHIEVE IMPOSSIBLE as it began in the poverty ridden streets of Los Angeles and San Bernardino California and has now flourished beyond my home state. I was raised in poverty with 5 siblings in a 2 bedroom apartment and have achieved my dreams in less then 2 years of pursuing them. I’m living proof there’s a God if you need a reason. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a native of the entertainment capital of the world I would begin the trip on the Hollywood walk of fame partaking in everything LA from the World’s Market to Hollywood sign allowing them to feel the vibe that the city creates as the sun falls at The House of Blues. Next we would edulge in music, culture, and amazing food and scenery that’s provided by the private life that Los Angeles offers. The following two days would be a at Six Flags Magic Mountain, with the next two days at Disneyland, perhaps driving down to San Diego for a day of Sky diving and beach bumming, Closing off the trip with one of my favorite places to visit, Santa Monica as well Marina Del Mar and the Hills of Los Angeles.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give God all glory for every aspect of my success in music and in life. Secondly, my parents are the back bone to my artistic craft and entrepreneurship. At an early age they embedded hard work and integrity deep within my work ethic. Without them leading by example I would’ve never seen first hand what it takes to make it on your own. The reason I’ve had any success in music and in business is dedicated to my listeners and fans. I create music, it is the audience that creates the Artist. I am nothing without God, Professor Majic is nothing without you all.
