Meet Ashley Morawski, MOT, OTR/L, BCP, CFT

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Morawski, MOT, OTR/L, BCP, CFT and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At Tiny Tots Therapy, supporting our community means more to me than just providing therapy sessions. It’s about building real relationships, supporting families where they are, and creating spaces where children feel safe, understood, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
My approach to therapy is play-based, child-led, and neuro-affirming. I truly believe kids learn best through play and connection, and that meaningful progress happens when children feel regulated and supported. I work closely with families to make sure therapy fits naturally into their child’s life and everyday routines.
As a board-certified pediatric occupational therapist, ongoing learning and professional growth are a priority in order to best support the families served. I have completed the Gillespie Approach Craniosacral Fascial Therapy training which provides a gentle, hands-on approach to calming the nervous system and releasing fascial tension within the body. Additional training is currently underway to become a Certified Primitive Reflex Clinical Specialist in order to deepen my understanding of nervous system development and help address the root causes of many sensory, regulation, and developmental challenges.
One of the things I’m most proud of is having a team that is able to offer specialized pediatric occupational, speech, and feeding therapy to families who may not otherwise have access to high-quality services. We work with children with a wide range of needs, including autism, speech delays, sensory differences, feeding challenges, and developmental delays, always meeting each child where they are.
We also support many homeschooling families in our community. These families often don’t have easy access to therapy services like they would if they were enrolled in a traditional, public school. High turnover from state funded agencies and long waitlists can make getting help even harder. By offering flexible scheduling, in-home services, and individualized care, our team is able to help fill that gap and support children who might otherwise be missed.
At the heart of everything I do is connection. Therapy isn’t just about skills. It’s about helping kids feel confident in their bodies, safe in their environment, and supported by the adults around them. When kids feel good, families feel empowered, and that creates a stronger community for everyone.
I’m truly grateful to do this work and to be a trusted support for families in our area. Our commitment to the community will continue to be rooted in connection, regulation, and the power of play.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tiny Tots Therapy was created from a deep passion for supporting children and families in a way that feels meaningful, individualized, and respectful. I’ve always believed that therapy should focus on the whole child, not just a list of goals, and that connection and regulation are the foundation for growth. That belief is what truly sets Tiny Tots Therapy apart. Every child I work with is met exactly where they are, and services are designed around their unique strengths, needs, and nervous system. We don’t use a cookie-cutter model.
The journey to starting my own business came from a big leap of faith. I spent many years working in early intervention, a role I loved deeply, but I reached a point where I felt called to pour my time and energy into building something of my own—something I could shape intentionally and be truly proud of. Leaving early intervention wasn’t easy, and the transition into business ownership definitely came with challenges. One of my best friends often reminds me, “You can do hard things,” and that phrase carried me through many moments of uncertainty.
I didn’t go to business school and had very limited experience with the administrative side of running a business. There were many late nights spent researching, networking, asking questions, and figuring things out as I went. What kept me going was trusting myself, trusting the process, and believing that learning along the way is not a weakness—it’s part of the journey.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that not everyone will immediately understand the value of specialized pediatric therapy, and that’s okay. I’ve grown confident in making business decisions that align with my values and clinical beliefs, even when they don’t follow a traditional path. I’m most proud of creating a practice that prioritizes quality care, meaningful relationships, and thoughtful, individualized services over productivity metrics and paperwork.
I’m especially excited about being able to offer specialized pediatric occupational, speech, and feeding therapy services to families in our community, including many homeschooling families who may not otherwise have access to high-quality care. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that this work is making a real difference for children and their families.
If there’s one message I hope families take away, it’s that there are therapists and providers out there with deep knowledge and specialty training who can truly support your child. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, seek out providers who align with your priorities, and choose someone who sees your child as an individual—not just a diagnosis. Building Tiny Tots Therapy has been challenging, rewarding, and deeply meaningful, and I’m excited for what’s still to come.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When friends visit the Valley, I love showing off the perfect mix of our high-energy food scene, the natural beauty of the desert, and some of our more adventurous “hidden gems.” Our “Perfect Phoenix Weekend” would look something like this:
Morning: Take a Hike
We’d start early to beat the heat with a hike at one of our incredible local trails—nothing beats the panoramic views of the Valley from the top of a desert peak. It’s the best way to get a true sense of the Arizona landscape.
Brunch: Hash Kitchen
After working up an appetite, we’re heading straight to Hash Kitchen. You can’t bring a visitor here without experiencing their famous Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary bar and the high-energy DJ vibes. It’s the ultimate Phoenix brunch experience.
Afternoon: Backyard BBQ & Games
One of the best parts of living here is the outdoor lifestyle. We’d spend the afternoon relaxing in our backyard pool, enjoying some cold drinks and a classic BBQ. To keep the energy up before dinner, we might head out to one of the Valley’s top-tier Escape Rooms—it’s always a highlight to see how well (or how poorly!) my friends and I work together under pressure.
Dinner: Blue Wasabi in Gilbert
For dinner, we’re heading to Gilbert for sushi at Blue Wasabi. Their rolls are creative and the atmosphere is always vibrant and stylish—it’s a local staple for a reason.
Late Night: Speakeasies & Brews
To cap off the night, we’d grab a craft beer at O.H.S.O. Brewery to enjoy their dog-friendly patio, or for something truly immersive, I’d take them to one of our world-class speakeasies. Whether it’s the tropical escape of UnderTow, the Victorian charm of The White Rabbit, or the vintage train car vibes at Platform 18, these hidden spots always blow people away and prove that Phoenix has one of the coolest cocktail scenes in the country.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A huge thank you to my family, friends, and colleagues for your endless patience, encouragement, and belief in me over the years. From taking the leap to go back to graduate school in my late 20s, to learning from some truly incredible and talented therapists during my 10 years in early intervention, your support has meant more than you know.
An extra special thank you to those who encouraged me to take a leap of faith in 2024 and start my own business. It has allowed me to create space for better work-life balance for my husband and daughter, investing in my growth as a clinician, and building something that allows me to offer specialized services that truly support children and families in our community. I’m so grateful to have such an amazing village behind me.
