We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashton Dana and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashton, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Integrity, among other values is something Precision Masonry of Arizona prides ourselves on through honesty, dependability and strong work ethic. Integrity is extremely important to me, as it was instilled in me from a very young age. With so many changes in this world, integrity is often forgotten, and I believe it is essential in order to have a successful business.
What should our readers know about your business?
Precision Masonry of Arizona specializes in interior and exterior stone and brick veneer, cinder block walls, fire pits, outdoor kitchen installations, restoration, repairs, and much more. What sets us apart is our strong attention to detail, the quality of our projects and our premier customer service. As a new small business, I am excited for the opportunity to provide our services valley-wide and help our clients achieve their project goals. The process of starting Precision Masonry of Arizona has been far from easy; however, we chose to embrace the adversity, to learn, and persevere to overcome the challenges presented. Working for multiple masonry companies, and seeing approaches that work well, and also approaches that do not, it has given me the opportunity to incorporate those lessons learned into the building of my business. As such, our quality of work and customer service will stand out from the rest.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Depending on the season, Arizona has numerous and varied options for visitors to experience. The first event of the week would be to take our guests to a local sporting event, (Suns game, Cardinals game, etc.). There are many fun restaurants that are close to the sporting venues, so we would likely have a meal before heading to the game. Family is most important to me, so our guests would join our Sunday family meal, and enjoy a Traeger smoked main course from meat from the Pork Shop in San Tan Valley. The Pork Shop, is one my favorite spots to get the most amazing meat to smoke or grill. Next on the agenda, would be a one or two day trip up North to explore Sedona and Flagstaff. As a child, my mom, my brother and I would snowboard all day at Snowbowl, work up a big appetite, and head to Criollos Latin Kitchen in Flagstaff for the best burgers. If in Flagstaff, I would definitely take our guests there! We would probably finish off the week hanging out with family, as my friends have a close relationship with my family as well!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely want to shout out to my family, as they have a major influence in my life and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. My family has taught me from a young age, the importance of hard work and to do right by others. Seeing my mom raise two boys as a young single mom, while providing us with everything we ever needed, instilled in me the importance of perseverance and a strong work ethic. My mom always showed my brother and I unconditional love, taught us to never give up, and that your word is everything. These strong morals I hold near and dear to me. I have been fortunate that my family has given me a strong foundation and had such a strong influence on the person I am today. I am forever grateful for the life lessons and values my mom and family have taught me, and hope to be able to provide my future children the same.
