We had the good fortune of connecting with Barbara Guillaume and Amy Komorowski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Barbara & Amy, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
We have always wanted to share our success to help other people. We chose to give a part of our proceeds to a beautiful charity called “Children’s Skin Disease Foundation “Camp Wonder.” Children impacted by skin disease represent a vulnerable population. Children’s Skin Disease Foundation’s (CSDF) mission is to improve the lives of children with life-threatening and chronic skin disease and their families by offering wonderful experiences that enrich their lives and empower them to have a childhood without limits.

At Camp Wonder each year, children around the world take a break from being a patient for a week and focus on just being a kid. Camp Wonder is a special place free of judgement and stares. They create an environment of acceptance and support to empower children to be themselves.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We have worked as celebrity men’s groomers for over 20 years. Our A-list clientele includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Austin Butler, Adam Driver, Eddie Redmayne and many more.

Over the course of our careers working with the most in-demand male celebrities, we’ve tested and tried virtually every product in the market. While we have some favorites, we struggled to find a skincare product that cared for the skin and delivered results while also providing a beautiful, sensorial experience. CIRCA 1970 was born out of a vision to create clean and simple skin care for our clients and ourselves.

We work with A-list clientele that expect the best products and we have seen and tried it all. So we know first hand if a product works and makes our clients look great. We have an insider knowledge and the experience to know makes a product worth using. With so many skincare products on the market, we narrow our kit down to only the best and most useful. CIRCA 1970 checks all those requirements on the list and we want to share it with the world!

We are both Aries women, headstrong, determined and we do not give up! We huff and puff, have moments of banging our heads against the wall, but we keep moving forward. It’s extremely helpful and important that we have each other, when one is down the other comes to the rescue to lift the other up.

The hard work never stops but seeing your company grow, expand and increase its revenue is the most amazing feeling and accomplishment. There will be bumps in the road and obstacles to overcome, but we have learned to not panic anymore and to focus on solutions, because there is always one! And sometimes things work our better than you imagined.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
