We had the good fortune of connecting with Jillian Ringwood and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jillian, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks is how we grow both professionally and independently. If it was t for taking risks I wouldn’t be where I am At today. I have always known that I wanted to open my Own business one day I just didn’t know what that road looked like. Once I took the risk to move to AZ form NY I knew I was going to go to aesthetic school. It was here that I said I’m giving myself 3 years to build my clientele and I did exactly that. Once my clientele was built I took the risk and went out on my own and 4years later I’m Making a big move again and expanding. If it wasn’t for these risks I would still Be stuck working for someone else not building the life that I always dreamed of.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own a skincare practice that really provides clients with medical treatments all while providing the spa atmosphere. My treatments go above and beyond and I truly believe that’s why I have been so successful. I take the extra time with each person and provide them with results they are looking for. I am most proud of the practice I have built. I love each and every client I have. We have developed amazing relationships through the years and when my clients can truly feel the energy and healing within my hands it is the greatest compliment. After being on my own for 4years I have contemplated expanding but Honestly was always a little scared. The opportunity has presented itself and I can now say that I am expanding my practice with a great team of people in hiring a new Esthetician to join my team. I looked back from where I started to where I am today and I’m just so grateful that I found a career that is my passion and I love to go to work every day. Getting to where I am today was not always easy when I first started out and aesthetic’s new building a clientele was gonna be a long road. Not only do you have to develop trust with each person but you also have to provide results that the client is looking for. I worked three jobs to support myself most of the time not getting any sleep. I’ve learned you do what you do in order to make your dreams happen. Nothing comes easy if you don’t work for it and is it truly something you could be proud of if you didn’t put in tHe work. where I am today was not always easy. when I first started out in aesthetics I knew building a clientele was going to be a long road. I think everyone needs to know if you have the right team standing behind you and the courage to take risks you can be anything you want to be.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a cave creek kind of gal. I love the country and hometown feel. I love the quietness it offers but the support that the whole town gives to each other. I also love being on the water our off roading in the desert. We have built a beautiful home on the edge of tonto national forest that gives us the freedom to just enjoy our own backyard
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give a lot of credit to my father who has always encouraged me and pushed me to think outside of the box. I also have to thank my husband who has always believed in me, supported my goals and encouraged me to keep growing. Lastly, my mentor Sarah. It was her who gave me a chance in esthetics and provided me the advanced education I needed to grow successfully. It was watching her be so successful that I knew it’s what a I wanted. I still use Sarah today not only for business mentorship but personal as wel.
