We had the good fortune of connecting with Bäsmini and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bäsmini, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I didn’t pursue my music career until about 5 years ago. I was 17, didn’t know a lick about production or vocal development, but I had this drive to release and discover more about my creative side.

I wanted to express what I felt through a way millions of people would understand… through music. The production of a song can create so much chaos, but it can also allow the listener to relive vivid, beautiful memories, or reminisce about the places of the past.

Music has its own mind, body, and soul, and it pushed me to want to do more!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I create art that speaks to the ears! Music isn’t just Melodie’s and rhythm… it’s a story. With my recent music, I’ve been touching base with the people that have a hard time dealing with dating, relationships, etc… it’s a hard process, especially for someone that has a fast-processing mind like me.

I keep things relatable while still remaining unique in my sound and branding, and with every new track it adds more and more.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spot currently is Hot N Juicy! I loooooove me some fresh seafood, and there they always deliver!

Perfect spice, hands down some of the best seafood in Arizona, and an overall great experience with friends!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe I should give a shout out to my beautiful friends Nene, Reyna, Alizé and Robyn for the everlasting support on my music and the nonstop love and encouragement. It’s people like them that keep artists going!
