We had the good fortune of connecting with Beth Freese and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beth, how does your business help the community?
My work is really about helping people feel better in ways that extend beyond the therapy room. When someone starts to feel more regulated, connected, and grounded in themselves, it naturally shows up in their relationships, their families, and the way they move through the world. That kind of healing has a ripple effect.

Through my practice, I offer trauma-informed care that helps people move out of survival mode and into lives that feel more manageable and meaningful. I also support other therapists as they build sustainable, values-aligned practices, because taking care of the people who provide care matters too.

At the end of the day, I believe that helping people feel safer and more connected — to themselves and to others — is one of the most impactful things we can do for our communities.

What should our readers know about your business?
Evolve Therapy grew out of my desire to offer deeper, nervous-system–based healing rather than just symptom management.
Building this business wasn’t easy — it required taking risks, learning as I went, and trusting my values over quick growth. I’m most proud of creating a practice that feels aligned and sustainable, including the therapy intensives I offer and the work I do supporting other therapists. What I want people to know about my brand is that it’s rooted in integrity, depth, and genuine care — this work is personal, and it matters deeply to me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, this is exactly where I’d take them:

We’d start with a hike at Phoenix Mountain Preserve, followed by coffee at Satellite Coffee and breakfast at Fame Caffe. One afternoon would be spent browsing Changing Hands Bookstore, then lunch at La Grande Orange. We’d end the day with dinner at Saint Pasta.

Midweek, we’d do a day trip to Sedona for hiking, exploring town, and an early dinner before heading back.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, there isn’t just one person — my journey has been shaped by a lot of people along the way. I’m incredibly grateful for the mentors and teachers who trusted me with depth early on and showed me how to do trauma work with care, humility, and respect for the nervous system. Their influence still guides how I show up with clients every day.

I also owe so much to my husband and close friends, who’ve been my steady support behind the scenes — reminding me to slow down, rest, and stay grounded while building my practice. And of course, my clients deserve so much credit too. Being trusted with people’s stories is not something I ever take lightly, and they’ve taught me more about resilience and humanity than I could have learned anywhere else.

None of this happened in isolation, and I’m deeply thankful for the people who’ve walked alongside me.
