We had the good fortune of connecting with Blanca Mondragon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Blanca, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote is “believe all things are possible”. The key word in that quote for me is “believe”. If you believe that you will succeed, then you will. Same if you believe you will fail, odds are you probably will. That does not take away from the fact that you have to put effort in your work, but it all begins with believing.
What should our readers know about your business?
We are a business of floral design for any occasions, but specialize in weddings. I believe that one of the things that sets us apart from others in the same industry is our great customer service. Our goal is to provide a positive experience to all of our customers, and what makes us feel proud is when we hear the feedback from our clients. Perseverance is what has gotten me to where I am today. It has definitely not been easy, but every obstacle that has come my way, has only made my business stronger. One significant thing I’ve learned along the way is the importance of a business mode canvas. We want the world to know that we want to help them express their feelings through the power of flowers!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Tuesday-Thursday: I would take my friend up to Sedona and we would go on different hikes to admire the beautiful red rocks and scenery. We would drive up a bit more north into Flagstaff, walk around the local town shops and briefly stop by a local coffee shop. Friday we would take it slow and relax at home. Saturday morning, I would take my friend to the Uptown Farmers Market. There we would grab a delicious iced coffee and some tasty pastries. More than ever I believe we should support local vendors and small businesses as much as we can. Sunday we would wake up and make coffee and breakfast. We then would tune in to an online church service. Later that day we would order a to go lunch from Postinos on Central. They have delicious bruschetta boards! After that we would end our Sunday with a pre-schedule, private class at Amazing Flowers. There she would have the opportunity to create her very own terrarium arrangement with some succulents and cacti, perfect for remembering her visit to Arizona.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am a believer, and the one who deserves all the credit behind the success of my business and life in general is first and foremost God. I thank him for every great opportunity and all the lessons I have learned along the way. After God I want to thank my husband for all his support and encouragement.
