We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Titus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind success is quality. You want to make sure you do quality work. You don’t want to have a customer come in for an install and then have to come back 10 times in a month to have issues fixed. If you do quality work your customers won’t have to come back with issues. They’ll come back for more work instead.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Here at On Scene PSE we outfit emergency, security, funeral escort, and off-road vehicles. This includes lights, sirens, prisoner equipment, push bumpers, etc. We value our customers so much that Your Safety is Our Priority. What sets me apart from other businesses is that I am a one man show. I do everything from buying inventory and supplies to completing customers vehicles. I started doing side jobs in the parking lot of my apartment and now I am renting a shop to do jobs. The goal is to one day have a bigger shop and some employees but for now it’s just me. There were so many ups and downs to get here. Some months there would be no work at all so I would have to rely on the inventory I purchased at auction. Some of the lessons I’ve learned is that you cannot cut corners. If you do, you will not build a strong customer base. I love building emergency vehicles and I wouldn’t change my career for anything. I wanted to start a business doing it because I want to create something for my son when he gets older. He loves emergency vehicles just as much, if not more, than I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We definitely would have to go eat at ATL Wings. Best wings I’ve had in Arizona! Would definitely take a trip up to the Grand Canyon as I’ve only been once and it was amazing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife has been behind me since I started doing side jobs on weekends. Without her I wouldn’t be where I am today. She has pushed me to do things I didn’t think I could and they have paid off.
