We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Loeffler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brian, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
There are a number of habits that have helped me move forward with my business but the two habits that really set me up for success are Transparency and Customer service.
I did have some issues with my printer during the Christmas season where he was really backed up with business, and I was in jeopardy of not meeting the delivery dates I promised my customers. I immediately switched printers, I mentioned to my customers where they can expect the deliveries from, and they really appreciated how transparent and upfront I was given the circumstances.
There are so many facets to Customer Service from where I need to be responsive answering emails, and then addressing any questions or concerns they have. Finally, I help my customers on where they can get their print image framed or where they should hang the print image in their home. It is all about being there for my customers.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The plan was to start off as an Arizona landscape and wildlife photographer when I began Unledded99 Photography, but the business has since evolved to include landscapes and wildlife from my travels. I am extremely happy with the evolution as the public is seeing areas of the world they have never seen before in person.
Getting to this point has been quite a journey as there has been the artistic side of photography to navigate – ever try dealing with Mother Nature when you want to go out and photograph something? – and then there is the business side that needs done as well. Being the sole person on the endeavor has taught me how to budget my time. The priorities are to take care of any legal or financial reporting, then take care of my customers, and finally, take care of the website.
Finally, I want to make sure I am giving my customers a positive buying experience. I am not just here to sell print images and call it a day, I want to make sure my customers feel valued and appreciated.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are a number of areas I would recommend beginning with Bartlett Lake. Yes, the road is windy and a good set of car brakes are necessary, but it is well worth the trip.
Afterwards, a trip to the Superstition Mountains are a MUST! There are a number of trails to hike and the scenery is spectacular.
Finally, a trip to Water Users Recreation Area is really enjoyable. There is plenty of hiking, and if you are fortunate enough, you just may see the river otters and big horn sheep.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Three people who have really have supported me with my business are
