We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Loose and Molly Sivadon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany and Molly, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Both Molly and I were stay at home moms looking for something to do in our “spare” time. Being sisters and best friends we already hung out so much together that it just made sense to join forces and hopefully make money while having fun! We started out making organic skincare from my kitchen and would sell it at weekend markets, which was a lot of fun but A LOT of work! We have always been crafty, both of us are licensed cosmetologists and certified makeup artists, and as we were decorating our booth for shows we stumbled upon wood flowers. One thing lead to another and soon we found ourselves as full-time florists specializing in wood flowers. We now have a successful Etsy shop providing thousands of brides with wood flowers for their weddings and we are working harder than we’ve ever worked before!! We are so lucky to still work from home so we can juggle this crazy covid life we are all living and are actually launching a new brand in the next few months! Such exciting times and to think it all started by wanting to hangout more and make money while doing so!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Oh man, how’d we get here and was it easy?! Running this business is absolutely the hardest thing both of us have ever done. The day to day struggles of operating a very customer services driven business along with raising small kids is exhausting. We have experienced very high highs and very low lows. The one thing that always gets us through is we truly love what we do. Each bouquet, centerpiece, or whatever it may be that we create is a work of art. We set out when we started the wood flowers to make fake flowers cool again! People often can’t even believe they aren’t fresh flowers so I feel we have succeeded. We continue to push ourselves creatively just to see what these amazing flowers can do and each and every time we are blown away. Molly and I work our booties off to make sure that each of our brides or customers feel that their support is truly appreciated and we are so grateful for them. Our customer service is our number one priority and we plan to always keep it that way!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our dream week vacation with girlfriends would be a lovely relaxing stay at one of the amazing resorts here. One we’ve always wanted to go to is The Boulders Resort & Spa Scottsdale. We’d spend the week getting pampered at the spa, laying in the wonderful AZ sun while sipping cocktails pool side and strolling through shops without kids! We’d head to Downtown Scottsdale for a nice dinner out and maybe hit up Top Golf and the Casino for some nightlife. Molly and I both love to go on vacation and see where the day takes us. We aren’t huge planners when we take a trip. We wake up when we want and then decide what to do! Vacation to us is having absolutely no schedule and no one that can tell us no!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
One person we would love to recognize in our journey would be Meagan Chapman. She was the original owner of Eco Flower and who we bought our very first wood flower bouquet from that we used to decorate our booth. Molly started following Meagan on social media and immediately became hooked to her infectious personality and her hard work and dedication as a fellow mom and entrepreneur. Meagan sold Eco Flower and opened Sola Wood Flowers where she provided individual wood flowers for crafters and wholesalers. We were Meagan’s VERY FIRST wholesale account!! Meagan has since sold her business, but she will forever be a part of our story and our why!! We are so thankful we found her and that she’s been a part of changing our lives and our families lives.
