We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Alyse MacNeille and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cameron Alyse, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Something that I’ve come to learn as a hairstylist is that you can’t be good at everything. You need to find your niche. Find those things that you’re really good at and specialize in those areas. Since specializing in WBR extensions and lived in blondes, my career has grown exponentially. My clients trust my expertise and know exactly what they are getting out of my services.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Hair by Cam Alyse was established in May of 2017. Since navigating the hair industry, I have chosen to specialize in hair extensions and blonding. I love being able to guarantee my work now and make my clients feel and look their best. I’m very excited to launch into 2022 with educating through WBR. I’ve come a long way in the industry searching for my “calling” and I believe I’ve found it! I’m very passionate about extensions and education. I want everyone to be able to find what they are good at. There is room for everyone to succeed in this industry. Until I found Waterfall Beaded Row, I felt lost in the extension world. I didn’t know what method I could feel confident with until WBR. WBR is more than just a method. It’s a tribe, and being part of the tribe has opened so many doors of opportunity for me. I can’t wait to see what the New Year has to offer.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Downtown Mesa I would say has it all! I love the people, food, drinks and shops they’ve got to offer. Visiting Mesa feels like visiting family, it’s such an awesome community. One of my favorite breweries, 12 West Brewing is my go to place. They’ve got the best food, cocktails and beer! For lunch I frequent Tacos Chiwas. Can’t go wrong with tacos and margaritas. Downtown Mesa also has tons of vintage shops and gives you something unique to bring home. My go to for basically every activity. Grab some tacos and get some shopping done! Downtown Mesa is the place to be.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Meg and her company Waterfall Beaded Row have been a huge inspiration in my career. The group of extension specialists I’ve been introduced to through WBR has shown me that in this industry there’s room for all of us at the top. My career has grown so much since being apart of this tribe and on the education team. I can’t express enough gratitude to the team for always challenging me to be better and step out of my comfort zone.
