We had the good fortune of connecting with Cara Pfeiffer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cara, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of Artful Eye Jewelers is consistency, quality and high ethical standards.

We always strive every day to exceed our customers expectations! We want all of our customers to know they their jewelry is in good hands and that we will do anything to make them happy.

Our customers know that our jewelry is high quality and we stand behind it.

Our customers know that their jewelry repairs are going to be done, on-site, by our Award Winning Goldsmiths. Their attention to detail is outstanding and all jewelry repairs exceed our customers expectations.

When we create custom jewelry, our customers are walked through every step of the way and they end up getting the jewelry of their dreams!

Customers can also bring in old jewelry and design it into something they would LOVE to wear again!

All of our staff has been with us for over 16 years, we understand the importance of customer satisfaction and delivering quality work. This is what made us successful for over 26 years in Prescott!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At Artful Eye Jewelers, we are known for turning OLD jewelry into something NEW! Everyone has jewelry they just don’t wear anymore.

My favorite part of my job is meeting with these customers, going through all of their old jewelry, and finding a way to re-purpose it into something that they LOVE to wear! So many of our customers have pieces of jewelry that they have inherited, gifts from family, jewelry they bought on a vacation and so on. It is really rewarding to take those pieces of jewelry, re-design it and letting the customers use their stones, their gold and keeping all of those special memories but giving it a fresh look.

I learned how to design jewelry by working with the BEST jewelers, Dave Rabellino & Kevin O’Neill. I have also learned an incredible amount by working closely with our on-site CAD Designer Holly Stringer. It is incredible how well we work as a team. I guess that’s why we have been together for so long! We all LOVE what we do and we are all the top in our industry!

It has taken a lot of hard work, dedication, continuing education and a creative mind to get us to where we are today! It is an honor to work with such an amazing group of talented Jewelers and Designers and to be carrying on the family legacy as the second generation!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Prescott is incredible and there are SO many things to see! A walk around any of the 5 lakes we have is a great way to start your morning! Breakfast at the Hassayampa on the patio is always beautiful or lunch at the Lynx creek café. There are so many charming arts and crafts fairs in the courthouse square in the heart of downtown. Walking around in all of the art galleries and of course, stopping into Artful Eye Jewelers to get your jewelry cleaned for free and see all of the unique creations! Kayaking on Watson Lake is one of my favorite things to do! Sushi at Fujiyama’s would be on the list of things to do as well. There is always Live music at the Palace Restaurant or at the Whiskey Row Tavern. I can’t say enough good things about this town! I am so proud to work at Artful Eye Jewelers in beautiful downtown Prescott and call this town my home!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Dave & Sherrie Rabellino are the owners of the Artful Eye Jewelers in Prescott, AZ. They are also my parents. I grew up in the jewelry industry learning how to make beaded earrings and helping at craft shows in the courthouse square. They have always been successful business owners and taught me the importance of hard work, dedication and honesty. They are amazing people.

I moved away to college and graduated with my Bachelors Degree from University of Arizona in Equine Science. Horses have always been my passion and I’ve owned them for most of my life. I spent the next 10 years working at the large equine clinics in the Phoenix area. It was great experience but Prescott always had a special place in my heart. In 2007 I moved back to Prescott to join the family business at Artful Eye Jewelers.

I have spend the last 16 years submersing myself in the jewelry industry. I have attended numerous trade shows all over the country, receiving formal training from GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and became a certified diamond grader. learned how to design jewelry and how jewelry is made and even won a National Award for Jewelry Design. My parents have mentored me though out my career and I am very grateful to them.
