We had the good fortune of connecting with Ca’Sohn Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ca’Sohn, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose to pursue this field of work because I believe it is one of the truest forms or self expression. Being able to bring what people imagine in their heads to life is one of the best feelings. I’ve always been a problem solver so finding a career that allows me to constantly figure out new avenues and tests my limits always keeps me busy. Whether it be figuring out the best shots to use in a business promotion video or finding the next venue for our events. It’s always something new and exciting around the corner and everyday brings something new to look forward to.
What should our readers know about your business?
We are a One stop shop for all your entertainment needs. Whether it be a video showcasing your business, or a plan on how to throw the best event you possibly can! We want to make sure that you receive the vision that you are asking for. The biggest thing that separates us from others is our love and hunger for what we do. Everyday we wake up excited to work on something new. Making sure that our clients are genuinely happy creating the project, and with the final project is our top priority.
Business has always been a niche for me personally. I have always been good with numbers and I loved the idea of creating something out of nothing. I attended Buena High School in Sierra Vista, AZ and that was my introduction into film. I had signed up to take a TV &Film Production class not knowing what it was at all. I just knew the name seemed pretty interesting, but I fell in love with the camera and editing. I didn’t actually see it as a possible career option at the time though so I didn’t take it after freshmen year and never really thought about it again. I ended up going to King’s College in New York after I graduated and that experience shaped my love for all things business. Being around all the skyscrapers that’s I’ve never even imagined before, being able to walk around and meet all kinds of business minded people. I was only there for a year but it sparked a fire in me that changed my life.
Knowing that I liked being involved in business behind the scenes was easy but figuring out the legal side and actually running a business was very complicated. I studied Business Administration in college but I’ve self taught majority of the information that i know. Taking time to study cameras, films, events, music, everything. I became a student of life and I still am, learning constantly as I go. I’m proud of how far I have come, as a business and as a person. I’ve faced a lot of adversity, a lot of doubt, closed doors. But one thing I never did was quit, even when that’s all I felt like I could do. Consistency and dedication is key to all success. No matter what people say or think, as long as you love what you do and are willing to put in the hours, it is possible to accomplish your goals.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One thing I love about Sierra Vista is being able to go out into the mountains. There is nothing like being in nature and connecting with our inner selves so i would Forsure take them to Carr Canyon, San Pedro River or even take a trip to Patagonia Lake to name a few. Then I’d say we’d have to head to Bisbee, it’s an awesome town about 30 minutes out that has its own unique vibe, gets some good food. It’s a nice place to just forget about everything for a little bit. Then of course we’d have to go to Tucson or Phoenix and check out some of the awesome stuff that is out in the bigger cities!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are definitely a couple people that come to mind. First I want to S/O my business partner Richard, he was with me when I took the leap of faith and has supported the movement ever since. He helped give me the boost of confidence to believe in what I have going on. Shoutout to @Gmtheproducer for always helping with my creativity, always showing support and helping out in any way he can. And shoutout to everyone who watches and supports what we have going on. We continue to grow everyday and with your support we have no limits on the amount of change we can bring to this world. Thank you for your support and love, it means the world to us as we continue down this path.
