Meet Charlie Paixao | Content Strategist & Filmmaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Charlie Paixao and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Charlie, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Success in my line of work comes down to a few key habits: a solid morning routine, a never-ending thirst for learning, and a balance between being an entrepreneur and a creative. My day kicks off at 4 AM with some inspirational reading, diving into books about leadership or business strategies. Then, it’s off to the gym, where I find my energy levels and creativity hit their peak. It’s there, amid my workouts, that some of my best ideas for client strategies and marketing come to life. This mix of mental and physical activity really sets the tone for my day, keeping me sharp and full of energy.
I’m all about learning and growing in my field, constantly diving into new books, taking courses, and learning from the pros in video production and marketing. Even as my business grows, I keep this mindset of always being a student, always hungry for new knowledge. It’s this eagerness to learn that keeps me on my toes and always ready to adapt to new challenges.
Running a business is about more than just being creative with a camera. It’s about using that creativity in a strategic way. When I started using my passion for videography as a tool in my marketing business, everything clicked. In dealing with clients, we’re more than just a service – we’re a part of their team, helping to solve problems and improve their business with our skills in video and marketing. This approach has taught me that what we do is about solving real issues, not just selling a service.
Finally, keeping a balance in life is key. For me, the gym is more than just a workout; it’s where I clear my head and recharge, both mentally and emotionally. I don’t believe in a fixed balance – it’s about what needs the most attention at any given time. This way, I stay inspired, always learning new things and bringing fresh ideas to the table in my work.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
SIXZERO2 MEDIA stands out in the realm of digital marketing with its niche expertise in immersive storytelling, data-driven creative strategies, and strategic content distribution. What sets us apart is not just our unique services but our approach to each project. We specialize in transforming complex narratives into engaging, impactful stories that resonate with audiences.
The aspect of my business that fills me with the most pride is the tangible success we bring to our clients. Watching their businesses flourish and helping them become respected thought leaders in their industries is incredibly rewarding. The journey to where SIXZERO2 MEDIA is today wasn’t straightforward. It began during a challenging time when I stepped in to help my mother’s boutique transition to e-commerce during the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience was not just a lifeline for her business but a turning point for me, solidifying the vital role of effective content and marketing in business success. This pivotal moment, coupled with the realization of the power of video storytelling over photography, steered me towards the path I’m on now.
Building credibility in a new state and mastering sales were among the significant challenges I faced. However, I’ve learned that the value you bring is proportional to the size of the problem you solve and that implementation is key. ‘Starting tomorrow’ is a surefire way to delay success. At SIXZERO2 MEDIA, we live by the ethos of ‘Empowering Visions, Pioneering Solutions.’ Our aim is to bring each brand’s unique story to life, engaging their audience in the most impactful way. We pride ourselves on innovative storytelling, strategic foresight, and data-driven decisions, all geared towards delivering results that matter.
Moving forward, SIXZERO2 MEDIA is set on becoming a thought leader in video content strategy. Our goal is to foster long-term client relationships, contribute to community projects, and continuously evolve our brand to stay ahead of industry trends. Ultimately, we aim to transform brands, empower voices, and consistently exceed expectations, leaving a lasting impact on the digital content landscape.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d make sure they got a taste of the best experiences the area has to offer, starting with food. We’d kick off with meals at Culinary Dropout and Valentine, where the vibe is as amazing as the food.
For a dose of nature and some great views, a trip to South Mountain Park and Preserve is a must. It’s perfect for some hiking and soaking in the scenic beauty. We’d also visit the Japanese Friendship Garden for a peaceful and unique experience.
For outdoor adventure, we’d head to Lake Pleasant. Whether it’s a day of boating, fishing, or darting down that floating water slide, it’s always a good time there. As someone who prefers more unique forms of entertainment, I’d take them to a shooting range for an exciting experience, or we could have a laid-back evening at a local, slightly offbeat bowling alley.
A hidden gem that’s a personal favorite is Taco Boyz. It’s the perfect spot for some fantastic, casual eats. For relaxation, I’d recommend a day at the Sanctuary Resort and Spa. Their spa is the ideal place to unwind and rejuvenate.
And, of course, no visit would be complete without taking a few day trips to nearby towns. We’d visit Prescott, Sedona, and Flagstaff, in that order. Each place has its own charm and offers a different slice of Arizona’s beauty and culture.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Reflecting on my journey, I realize that my success is deeply intertwined with the contributions of many incredible people and resources that have inspired and supported me along the way. First and foremost, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to industry leaders like Chris Do, Seth Godin, Andy Elliot, and Alex Hormozi, whose insights and wisdom have been a constant source of inspiration and guidance.
The most profound support, however, has come from my wife, Karla. She’s been both my rock and my sail, keeping me grounded while encouraging me to soar. Her belief in me has been unwavering, and it’s something I cherish deeply. Another pivotal figure in my journey has been my mother. When her women’s boutique in Pasadena faced closure due to the pandemic, we teamed up to transform the business digitally. With my basic knowledge of marketing and videography, we created an e-commerce presence and campaigns that kept the doors open for another 2.5 years. That experience was not only a lifeline for the boutique but also a turning point for me, solidifying my understanding of the power of effective content and marketing.
In terms of literary influences, ‘Start With Why’ by Simon Sinek has reshaped my outlook on life and business, strengthening my approach to relationships and client interactions. ‘Meditations’ by Marcus Aurelius has been another source of inspiration, along with Alex Hormozi’s ‘$100 Million Offer’, which provided valuable insights into business strategy.
Lastly, I can’t forget to mention Brandon Soto. As a mentor and guide, his influence has been monumental. Brandon not only recognized my potential early on but also invested in it by sponsoring my first marketing courses. This kickstarted my journey towards creating SIXZERO2 MEDIA. His ongoing support and mentorship have been invaluable, and our regular discussions continue to fuel my growth and the evolution of my business.
