We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Saverino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christian, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Honestly, what makes me happy is being able to take the ideas and visions in my mind and bring them into reality. I sometimes get nervous and overthink whether or not I can accomplish something. So, when I am actually able to bring my ideas to life and look back at them, I think to myself, “I did that!”. I enjoy experiencing new things and meeting new people. I always get to keep growing and learning, which makes me feel like I’m moving forward in life. I enjoy creating, gaming, and snowboarding. The main reason I enjoy most of these things is only because I have surrounded myself with such amazing people, and as long as I am able to experience life with them, I know that I’ll always have the feeling of being happy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a content creator specializing in both videography and photography with my company IKnowRhyno LLC. I produce a wide range of content, from YouTube videos and wedding photos to short films and movies. My introduction to the world of cameras came from my dad, who took pictures of animals at the zoo when I was growing up. I always wanted to take photos as well as he did. I wasn’t truly introduced to more advanced techniques until high school, where I took a media class. There, I learned how to edit my own videos, which only increased my interest. During my senior year, I met a photographer who allowed me to intern for him on a film set as a PA. It was one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had, and I worked my butt off—fifteen-hour days, seven days a week. This experience helped me get my foot in the door, and I started working on more sets. When I was 18, I received my first credit working as a Best Boy on a feature film called Durants Never Closes. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to find my own success in the industry. Even though it involves hard work, I never dislike going to work. Whether I’m working on music content with my friend Spitfire Sparks or taking photos for an event, I love the entire process from start to finish.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For starters, I need to know the time of year he is visiting. If it’s during the winter, I would definitely take us up north to go snowboarding. I would include a round of golf or, if not a course, at least a fun driving range. I would also love for us to attend a live event, such as a concert or a baseball/football game (Go D-Backs/Cards!). For food, we’d definitely hit up some food trucks and then enjoy some top-notch local tacos and pizza. I’d also like us to also try things we both haven’t tried yet and experience it together for the first time. Like a new pickle ball place or milkshake bar. Lastly, I would invite some other close friends over to play Jackbox, card games, or the Switch, just like old times.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I honestly have to shout out a couple of people. First off, my parents! They are the two best people in the world, and I would not be the person I am today if it weren’t for them. They have always been supportive of anything I set my heart to. Next, I want to shout out an old friend, Scott Conditt, who gave me the opportunity of a lifetime to work on live sets simply because I asked him. Another important person is my close friend, Spitfire Sparks, who never lets me slow down and always reminds me of the road ahead. Lastly, I want to thank the rest of my friends and family who are near and dear to me. I thrive because of them.
