We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Never give up. Believe in yourself. If you are still dreaming you should never give up. If you ever think about giving up, you should never have begun in the first place.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets us apart from the others is that we have developed an original sound within the country music genre. Our songs set us apart – they are original in every sense of the word. Our instrumentation, while incorporating traditional country sounds like pedal steel guitar, our sound is based more original sounding vocals and harmonies and is built on a piano sound rather than guitar.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are based in Harpers Ferry WV. Where we live has a natural beauty to it. We have mountains and rivers as well as a music scene grounded in country, folk and americana. West Virginia has a rich history as does Harpers Ferry. There are also wonderful sites in the surrounding quad state area that includes Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. There is history going back to revolutionary days as well as many civil war historic sites.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We want to shout out our parents for giving us the foundation on which to pursue our dreams. We also want to shout out Kayden Gordon, our promoter/manager for believing in us.
