We had the good fortune of connecting with Christy Olsen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christy, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“every day you are one day closer to your death”
People think I’m being negative, I’m not. Live every single day with the reality that you are one day closer to your death. It will change the way you live, for the better. We are only given one life to live, and I will live each day as though it really could be the last one.
I lost my 1st husband at 31 years old, I know firsthand how quickly life can be cut short. Don’t waste your life on meaningless things.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Cadence SEO is set up as an SEO consulting company. We help clients achieve kick-ass results, large or small, they get the same hands on, personalized experience. What makes us different? Our transparency with our clients, we make our results speak for themselves (no contracts) and real SEO that is understandable as to why it works.
The path we took to get here has been a very bumpy road, we have made (many) mistakes along the way, but have learned that if you care for your employees and clients, understanding that they are real people, not just numbers, that everything else will follow. We offer every client the same pricing structure (we don’t see big brands and think, wow we had better double our pricing!). We listen to every single employees voice, whether you just started with us in an entry level position, or are in a Director level role, their opinion, their lives and their voice matters. We offer working from home, unlimited time off, paid gym membership, and really mean it when we say, please put work SECOND, you have to put your own family first, or this will be “Just another job that you hate” and we know we won’t get the best from our employees, or keep great talent long term (which is especially important in todays labor shortage market!).
Our brand was founded by two people with very broken roads (yes we love the song broken road!) who believe that you can accomplish anything you want with grit, determination and hard work. Trust God, work your butt off, and you will be successful.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Slide rock in Sedona would be big on my list. We would also go cycling on Bush Highway, and cliff jumping at the salt river. If we could manage a hike down to Havasupai Falls in the Grand Canyon, I still think that is the MOST beautiful part of Arizona I have ever been able to hike. If it was a cool day in Arizona, we would definitely try to hike camel back also (seeing the sunrise on camelback mountain is an experience I encourage everyone to try!).
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband is the crazy guy who married the “widow with 5 kids” (I’m sure his parents were THRILLED to find out who he was dating) He has loved me and my kids unconditionally, supported me when I wanted to start a business, partnered with me to grow it, and overall is the most selfless, loving, and happy individual I know (probably why I married him)
