We had the good fortune of connecting with Cindy Wolfchief and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cindy, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I’ve always taught my daughters to be strong and no matter what they can become anything they wish to be. To never judge others and be forgiving and kind. My daughters are both very strong, confident, independent, caring, loving but mostly they are healthy and happy. My daughters have watched me go through several very hard times in my journey and the one thing I know for sure is that I have showed them to stay strong, keep your faith but mostly DON”T EVER GIVE UP!! On each of these occasions they have watched me over come them and rise to the top again. Just as with Cindalisa Boutique I still push forward with new creative ventures and my daughter are my biggest fan.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My love for creating unique and one-of-a-kind pieces came about in 2009. I had lost my job and while looking for work I took my love for crafting and started designing unique pieces. I was hoping to make extra money to help with bills. I did several craft shows and events for the holidays however I didn’t seem to sale anything at those events. Everyone seemed to love my work but never bought any of it. I had a few paying customers that would special order new pieces I would create but for the most part I never sold anything. I didn’t want to give us I just kept pushing forward and creating and giving my pieces away. You see each piece is handmade with allot of thought and love so to sale it made no sense. I finally was convinced Cindalisa Boutique wasn’t meant for buying it was meant to give. I would have love taking it to a higher level to have a storefront where people who have had a hard up brining or difficult times through their journey of life could come and create their own unique pieces. I call these my worlds, places that are without judgement or race. Its amazing what you can build from something that is hidden so deep inside of you. I’ve not got the chance to open that storefront . I’ll never given up hope on that dream. I try to pass on what I do to others because the joy I get from giving somebody something that they cherish is priceless. I was without work for 4 years before I was lucky and very blessed and was given a job. I have always worked in an office setting as a administrative assistant. I love what I do and am very accurate and efficient in it! However I no longer work at this time. I was forced to quit my job four years ago due to being diagnosis with stage four lung cancer in order to receive assistant with health insurances and to get treatment. Its sad that I have worked hard my whole life and with that had to give us what I love doing in order to save my life. Like I said its been four years this past March and as of now my cancer is still active and my Dr are amazed that I’m still here. Someone with stage four lung cancer normally doesn’t make it past the first year! I have a higher power that has carried me this far, my faith is strong and my courage to prove that I will over come this as I have many devastating things in my life is what keeps me pushing forward. From the beginning I didn’t play the part, look the part or act like a stage four cancer patient! I never lost my hair through all the chemo and radiation! I I continue to believe that I’m here for a very special reason! I still love creating new unique gifts for others. Everything I’ve done is at Facebook.com/CindalisaBoutique . Through all of this I was blessed with my first grand baby. Joshua David was born in August 2019 and my youngest daughter will be married this year. Things haven’t been easy that’s for sure however my believe is never give up and don’t let go! And always remember to SMILE 😀
