Meet Corey Davis | Cre8tor & “Legal Process Server” (currently retired and may go back)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Corey Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Corey, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
To be a creative person and homing in on your own creative abilities are something that can break me away from societal norms. I feel like that all the jobs created are only to uphold societal needs and not our own needs that leave people empty and lost due to them not chasing their own needs of fulfillment. I felt that working a 9 to 5pm career left me empty and lost. Jobs offered are only to hold up a person’s need to fit into society and do what they do type mentality. Where we are just trying to keep up with the joneses. To have all the best material needs that everyone else has along with better schools, better cars, better for their overall needs based on a society’s factors. Do A, B, C and get X, Y, Z type of life. I find it hard trying to fit into societies needs undermine my own wants to be someone different rather than being someone they created to fit into the illusion of life as they have created for us to be. I found it extremely hard when I was younger to sit in school and learn what they were trying to teach me because I was different. Since they could not capture my attention, they labeled me with ADHD and shoved pills down my throat hoping I would pay attention. That still did not work. Little bit later I was sent to a boy’s ranch for kids because I was acting out. My familial needs were not being met and that led me to breaking the law and acting out. While I was at the Ranch, they had a better observation of me and found that I just get bored easily. The teachers just labeled me with ADHD to have an excuse to not flex their teaching style to captivate my attention. Then the psychologist just went along with it to get paid. This led me to having an exceedingly difficult childhood along with a difficult life of trying to fit in when & should have just gone with my own intuition of going against the grain & creating my own life a lot sooner in life. Well, I am to the point now where if you did not do it then, you can do it now. It might be a little harder now, but still got to keep trying & never give up no matter how many embarrassments or downfalls. Better off failing until I create something that is my own rather than worrying about being replaced at some lame ass job. The pursuit of happiness comes from doing things that my feel hard and unreachable at the time. Makes you want to give up and go with societal norms, but that is a total struggle with me no matter what, so I’m going to keep on failing at my own pursuit of being creative along with learning what it takes to be a person that creates his own destiny rather than trying to make myself fit into a box that I feel that I don’t belong in. In the end I will be a lot happier with the challenge’s I am living into the great unknown rather than waking up to the same old every day in and out. That is where my happiness will come from because I get bored easily. I feel a lot of people can learn from my story because they are many kids just like me wanting to learn a new way out of the everyday boring system. Overall, the pursuit of being creative is a way of life rather than just a job because creating comes from within and is something that comes from your experience in life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My brand is based on creative trippy camouflage design’s that inspire people to think about who we really are as people along with destroying the illusion of the world. When telling people about my Tree of Life Vortex, I see the sparkle in their eyes light up. Most people have never really thought about their true existence. The Tree of Life Vortex represents the fact that our characteristics that we all share are based on tree like comparisons. These characteristics represent who we really are as people:

– Our thumbs look like tree stumps

– our hair grows like tree leaves

– we have skin like tree bark

– we have bronchioles like tree branches

– we breathe the air they create

– whittle everything down to our nerves and it looks like a tree branch

– we have C.B.D receptors in our brains that regulate everything in our body

– we also can ground with the ground to feel better.

My initial first creation was the Pineapple Express was based off my vision I saw within the process of ideas intertwined with fractals (vortex) that I saw while I was tripping on Mushrooms. The emotion and intensity are seen from the design’s I create. All my pain & darkness coming out thru a portal of energy and understanding something clearly at last for what it is. From the darkness I found my light and that is what led me down this path of creation. Was the internal struggle of who the world wanted me to be VS me. The struggles that led me to this point were something that made me reevaluate my relationship with the outside world. It made me be wiser to who and how I give my energy to. The energy of creation is priceless. Why waste your time on frivolous games, drinking alcohol, and eating fast food. They make our world easy to live, so you will never question why it is the way it is with the illusion of the world we live in. That’s why I try to abide by my own independent values:

– I try to go against the grain every chance I get.

– I stopped doing what everyone else is doing and started doing my own thing.

– I stay in my own lane and to make my own dream come true rather than giving someone else their dream by me working for them.

– I understand I still must work to get what I want. So, I am going to play their little illusion of a life until my next level breaks.

– I redact the matrix and see it for what it is.

Building a brand is not something you can just make in one day. It is something that builds you into this person that you need to be to receive abundance and manifest your own destiny.

– It makes you think about your moves twice or thrice to make the right moves in the future, you must spend some time, money, and energy to start making all the wrong moves.

– It is the growth you receive from those trials & tribulations that make you who you are.

– This is me vs me in this battle and that is the hardest fought battle that you will ever see because we are own worst enemy.

I have been learning how to be my own best friend because it is a lonely road being someone who finds society going down the road of self-destruction. This can give someone the ultimate despair. We must still move into the light because we cannot remain in the dark and fear for what is to come. We must continue to create the next level to change from within because that is the only thing we can control. Is ourselves, we cannot control the world, but once we realize we are on a path of self-destruction, we must avert course and take the helm to create the path of light. People can bitch, cry, moan, post mind blazing memes, but they will never fully affect change until they change themselves and lead from the front. Overall, Life is a trip and try failing at somethings in life rather than just going with the flow because you only live once. Make it an adventure you will never forget. Peep my story below.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like the hiking to the top of camelback and hiking in Sedona. Night out in Walter?Wherehouse then after hours raves in Phoenix. Out to eat in Old Town Scottsdale. Usually Lo’ Lo’s, Grimaldi’s Pizza, Rehab Burger or find Randizzle Burgers Food truck moving around. Weed events are always fun. Comedy at the Improv or Stand up live. So many places and thing to do in Phoenix. Checkout first Friday’s every month.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give the shoutout to the universal flow for having my back when I always thought I was on my own. It put the problems in place to allow me to grow exponentially. Then it put the right and wrong people in their place to make me learn about my own inner true strength in life. People come in and go out of your life to teach you a lesson. Whether it’s good or bad. But mostly I found myself following people down the wrong paths in life because no one really taught me no better. Once I started forging my own path, you can really see whose on your side when things get rough. Most people are in your past for a reason & best not to speak them back into existence. They might be there for a day or years and gone in a day. But I’m thankful for my journey that lead me down this path of self enlightenment no matter how rough it was I always will be thankful for those bad & good lesson’s I learned on the way.
