Meet Cynthia Lopez | Animal Rescuer / advocate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cynthia Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cynthia, what principle do you value most?
Transparency. It is extremely important to me to always be transparent with my followers, I don’t want to build a community based on unattainable ideas or pretending anything is perfect. Real , authentic transparent sharing is what aim for .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an animal rescuer and advocate. I first began rescuing street dogs over 10years ago, slowly I starting to make friends and acquaintances in the dog rescue community, some who showed me the good, the bad and the ugly of the community and work we do. I have to say I am so proud of myself for not giving up when times have been tough, for managing the loss and allowing myself time to feel and learn. I can not clearly say how I overcame certain challenges because I still don’t know. I have learned that life can be happy, and beautiful for however long we have it, I have also learned that resilience and determination are beautiful things ti have in this chosen life. It has not been an easy road to take, but I would take it again and again and again.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is so funny because I am such a simple simpleton. I would love to spend a day hiking at Eaton Canyon in Altadena, finding the nearest mom & pop shop restaurant to grab a quick bite, we would go to Gentle Barn in Santa Clarita, spend some time on the beaches, and visit their family & friends.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Everyday I give thanks to the wonderful , small group of women who helped me become the rescuer I am today. To my friend Emily , for helping me find my true potential, to my friend Laura who always believes I can do big things, and to my friend Lisa for always including me and showing me that I can teach others as I have been taught
