We had the good fortune of connecting with Dalton Bassett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dalton, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?

I’m actually from Sheridan Wyoming, I grew up learning about Billy the Kid and Wild Bill and being told stories about how they still haunt the old towns they once roamed. I think hearing those stories always piqued my interest, the idea of someone/something sticking around was so fascinating. When I learned how to read I gravitated towards Halloween books, and then goosebumps and horror novels in general. It was so easy to be enthralled in a world where things went bump in the night and could be caught. I watched way too many horror movies as a kid (chucky being my favorite at age 6).

As I got older I wanted to do something to scratch this itch to find something unknown. In 2018 a friend and I decided we both had a similar interest and thought looking into the weird, spooky, and true crime details of stories was something we wanted to do, we just needed to pick a medium. We went with Podcast as it was what felt like a begging step that could eventually branch into anything we wanted. I’ve done everything from in-person ghost hunts, live videos, cartoons, and movie reviews and I don’t see anything slowing down anytime soon.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

From having Criminal science majors, aerospace engineers, chemical engineers, professional paranormal investigators, and even an author or two. You never know what the topic is or who our special guest might be until the start of the show which can keep you on the edge of your seat with a touch of mystery.

From mic failures, canceled flights, bad audio over Zoom calls and people truly being afraid of things bumping around in the night the show has had a number of issues pop up, but one thing always kept us going, and that was knowing we had friends and fans waiting for that next episode. As well as, there are so many stories from the past that are just waiting to be told, monsters and myths that used to be passed down in gatherings slowly being lost to the internet and time, and these are things that deserve to have an audience and continue to be the fun or the scary told around a campfire or Halloween night.

We want everyone to know the Boobois are here to tell the stories that aren’t often found in the news or pull you in by the headline.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

First, we head up north. Show you Prescott and then a pit stop in Jerome Arizona you’ll need two nights there, between the amazing wineries and the interesting people the whole town has nothing but wild stories about the wickedest town in the west. Staying a night in the Connor Inn and the Grand Jerome would be the perfect start to your spooky AZ trip.

Next, we’d head to Sedona to see the vortexes and see if you feel one with the earth, or just enjoy the beauty of the red rocks(maybe even hold a snake or two in the plaza.)

You head back down towards Phoenix where you can visit downtown Phoenix and tour the San Carlos hotel which is rumored to have a number of sectors living in the halls. Grab a drink in Melinda’s Alley and try some great food!

Then you’ll want to go hiking in the Superstition mountains where the myths are endless and the sights will leave you breathless (as well as the climb to the top) – on your way back from hiking make a stop at Goldfield mine, the cutest little ghost town just outside of Phoenix, where you can see characters in old time outfits and gunfights, as well as tour the haunted mine below the town itself!

Last, with just a little time left, visit Bisbee, the place is amazingly coveted in art and even has a Vampire hideout located in the town. You can easily check out the local stuff and the antique shops and feel almost as though you have stepped back in time.

If you have time you can stop in Tombstone on your way back up to Phoenix, just a little day trip is all you’d need, but a stop into the birdcage theater will make any historian’s heart flutter.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Terror Trader is a local all-year-round horror store in Chandler AZ that brings a community of people who usually only had about 60 days (September-October) to feel like every day could be their favorite time of year.
