We had the good fortune of connecting with Dalton Kaye and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dalton, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
For me I don’t think of it as balance anymore, rather I see it as Work life harmony. We all know that life has its ups and downs and there are times we need to work more and times we need to turn our focus to our family or to ourselves. I used to struggle to find balance and since I have been able to shift my thinking to harmony it has relieved some stress and anxiety I would create and put on myself. Looking for harmony in my work life balance has helped me improve personally and as a business owner.

What should our readers know about your business?
Phoenix Fitness and Performance was founded in May of 2023 and our mission is to empower healthier lives through fitness and movement. We provide online personalized fitness programming as well as offer live virtual coaching and in person coaching. At PFP we specialize in rotational athletes such as golfers and baseball players providing programming based off of a movement screen. The screen tells us what you can and can’t do and then we create a plan around that and your goals.

The first idea of PFP was sparked back in 2020 when a global pandemic drastically effected how we live our lives. Gym’s closed across the world so it pushed us to innovate and provide more online or virtual coaching. The live video aspect allows you to know their movement is being watched and cued as well and here verbal coaching and feedback. Today we can now provide coaching across the country and world!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had to choose it would involve alot of golf here in the valley. I would go play Boulders, Grayhawk (Raptor & Talon), Southern Dunes, Quintero, and my home course Papago. This is just a handful of the many great public courses we have here in the valley.

I would pick a night to go downtown and catch a Suns or D-backs game and after make it over to Cobra Arcade Bar and play some arcade games. When I was in college I would say a night of Mill Ave would be fun but now it’s be catching an ASU football or basketball game.

There are so many fun things to do in Phoenix you just have to pick the right time of the year to visit outside of our hot summers!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The person that deserves credit in my story is my mom, Missy Farr-Kaye. She has always been the first to support me through good times and bad. She has always lived her life and lead with love and grit as an example for myself. There is no obstacle or challenge to high or big as long as you believe. Thanks Mom for everything!!!
