Hi Damion, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Control the controllables. In life, things get complicated literally in the blink of an eye. How does one handle the changes when they come on at lightning speed? You don’t. There are simply things that are within your control and things that are not. I’ve learned over time that the best possible method to living stress free is to focus on what you physically can. For instance, one can control their reaction to a situation that produces ill results. One CANNOT control the flow of traffic when in a rush to a particular place. Control the contrallables.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have a decent background with the career path I am choosing to embark on. With 8+ years background as a percussionist, I utilize plenty of the knowledge I learned back in marching and symphonic band playing everything from timpani’s to marching tenors to mallet instruments. This helps me during my performances and production. Having the know-how to incorporate different instruments to create an ensemble brings me joy knowing that the years I put in previously are being put to use in later life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Downtown PHX has certainly opened up my eyes to more of what the metro area has to offer. Since becoming a resident about 4 years ago now, ive live in various areas over the city but I tend to venture to the downtown area most often. I love the artistic vibe of the area as I enjoy different aspects that the streets have to offer. From murals to breweries, the streets are filled with people who saw a community at need and provided. My favorite part is probably Roosevelt Row and the first Friday event it hosts every first friday of the month. Great time to see plenty of live vendors, artists, and other funs things to do as you stroll the streets during the evening. 5/5

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The local artist community in the area of Phoenix can be attributed for the inspiration behind the drive! Everywhere I turn, there is some sort of artist expressing themselves in their own ways. Its truly awesome to see I am nowhere near the only one who longs to bring more to the table than what I do on a daily basis for work. Being creative is something that isnt harnessed due to the perception of what successful is and how its defined. Exactly why I continue walking the path, foot in front of the next. The character that I am learning today is the character that will rub off on my daughter as she starts to find herself in this world. The character to not listen to the crowd noise, but listen to ambience of her soul. Thats what guides you.
