We had the good fortune of connecting with Dani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dani, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Ever since I was a young girl, I have had an entrepreneur spirit. That spirit has stuck with me well into adulthood. My husband can confirm that I am always pitching him new ideas and becoming passionate about the possibility of creating my own business. This time felt different. I really felt that there was a need for Pet Wedding Attendants in Phoenix. The more I thought about it, I came to the realization that if I don’t do it, somebody else will. That thought process lead me to believing in myself and going for my dream.

What should our readers know about your business?
Precious Pups LLC is a specialty wedding service that provides wedding day pet care for couples in Arizona. I am so excited about the opportunity to help make the process of having your dog at the wedding easier. This is a personal problem that I had which lead me to create this business. I really wanted to be able to let my family and friends enjoy our wedding without having to worry about taking care of my 2 dogs. The logistics was where I kept getting stuck. I wished I had somebody I could trust, that wasn’t invited to the wedding, to take care of all of this. I wasn’t able to get a pet attendant myself, but I love helping take that worry off the plates of my clients!

I am still learning and growing but the support I’ve had from other professionals in the wedding industry has been phenomenal. There is always so much to learn and I have been taking feedback as constructive criticism so I can keep growing Precious Pups and help even more couples have their dream wedding, with the dog of honor by their side!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is such a fun question! There are two places that I would 100% take them to. The first is Jasmine Jo Coffee in Tempe. I absolutely love the vibe with the flower shop, where you can make your own fresh flower bouquet to purchase and the lavender lemonade is my all time favorite. The 2nd place is Defalco’s Italian Deli. I would take them there as many times as I could, until they ask to go somewhere else. I love everything on the menu but the macaroni has me hooked. I would take them to the shops on Melrose, specifically the modern home and retro thrift stores. I could spend hours looking through those stores. Lylo swim bar is nearby there too so if the weather permitted (which it almost always does) I would definitely stop by there for some drinks. One more stop on the trip would be to South Mountain to watch the sunset or just take in the views. From Mormon trail, you can see the whole downtown skyline and it is just breathtaking.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Joanne (my mom) and Greg (my dad) because they have given me every opportunity to explore my passions and have supported me every step of the way. Allie and Nicole (my little sisters) because anytime I have ever needed support, love, and words of encouragement, they have been there going above and beyond. Finally, Nick (my husband) for helping make my dreams a reality (and for bringing me back to reality when those dreams are a little too big for the moment)
