Meet Daniel Labadie | Creator/Owner of Sonic Soul Services LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Labadie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As an instructor in fitness, dance and education, I started to notice how many people were experiencing a disconnection with their creativity, intuition and sense of self. I began to shift my teaching approaches towards helping others to become present with themselves and their energy, which helped me to realize my capabilities of holding space for others through my own work instead of solely teaching for other companies. Since there was not a pre-existing brand or business that could let me encompass all of what I was able to offer to others, I became inspired to create my own.
Through sound meditation and energy work, I have been able to help others return home to their true selves. I often use the analogy of thinking of yourself as a musical instrument; from time to time, you need to “tune up” the different parts of yourself, whether physically, emotionally, mentally or energetically, so that you can enjoy your life to its fullest and stay inspired by what you do. Sonic Soul Services was created to assist you with aligning to your truest, most joyful self. Since launching my business, I have been able to facilitate healing spaces in a variety of settings, from behavioral health hospitals to schools, retirement parties, birthday celebrations and more.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Five years ago, I was a stressed graduate student getting ready to finish my master’s degree while working multiple part time jobs. I was finishing my Yoga Teacher Training, preparing for a research project and planning out what I wanted to do with my life after completing school. Despite keeping myself busy and goal-oriented, I couldn’t say that I truly knew myself. I had spent so much time on the external aspects of my life without the internal recognition of who I was beyond my degrees, titles and jobs. It was during this time that I got the opportunity to attend my first sound meditation event, which changed the course of my life. My awareness of myself and the world around me began to shift in ways that I could not have previously imagined. My intuitive senses from my childhood became reactivated and I started tapping into creative ideas and potentials that were hidden within me.
Fascinatingly, a number of people in my life began to have similar awakenings in the years to follow and I found myself offering guidance through readings, conversations and meditations to help them on their own paths. This inspired me to obtain my sound practitioner certification and Reiki Master training as more and more opportunities to help others continued to arise. It wasn’t until several years later that I finally stopped doubting my inner voice and the signs around me to create my own practice, which lead to the birth of Sonic Soul Services in the spring of 2023.
The goal behind my business is to educate and help others in their lives through sound, meditation and energy work. Oftentimes, we give much of our time and energy outwards into other people and reasons, from work responsibilities to family duties, community obligations and so on. Meditation is a way in which you can give back to yourself by taking your view from the external to the internal. When we allow ourselves to pause, slow down and check-in with our wellbeing, we are able to find healing, insights and inner peace that creates an alignment to our highest potentials and passions. Sometimes, it only takes one chance of saying “yes” to your self and your needs in order to create a shift of a lifetime.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many places in this beautiful desert to go and connect with nature. A few great spots are the Desert Botanical Gardens & South Mountain, but when the heat is too much, it’s much more fun to stay indoors and get some acai bowls at Chop Shop or to spend an evening in Downtown Chandler (Pie Snob is one of my favorite desert places).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout is dedicated to all my friends and family who have supported me in this journey, especially my colleagues at Health + Healing Studios in Mesa, AZ!
