We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle McGinn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
I am the Queen of multitasking and juggling in our household. I have two toddlers, 18 months apart, so needless to say our home is chaos 24/7. With tendencies of being a workaholic, I try to keep a balanced life. At the end of the day, my greatest accomplishment is being a mother and devoted wife. In aspiring to be a good mother, successful Realtor, and a leader in my community, I know I must strive to be present for my family and I haven’t figured out the magic formula yet.

I hope as my kiddos continue to grow they see the positive impact and independence I’m instilling. Women don’t need to get married and have children being domestic servants, they can fully create a professional career and for men that household chores are part and parcel of family life. Working moms know that they need to switch off the minute they get home, and that they need to dedicate 100% of their precious time to their kids. Email, texts, and social media can all wait until the kids are in bed. Additionally, I feel my marriage is healthier and stronger because I’m happier and more fulfilled and many joke but I’m getting a break from family pressures and demanding children when I go to work.

What should our readers know about your business?
r3homegroup, DeLex Realty

The r3homegroup with DeLex Realty is a full-service real estate team representing clients across the city of Phoenix and the surrounding suburbs. We are experts in single-family residential real estate. We are committed to your home sale or purchase. I have had the pleasure to get really involved in my brokerage which has resulted in great friendships and mentors. I currently sit on the Board of Directors at DeLex Realty and also head up a women’s networking group. I love bouncing ideas off each other and lifting up other women with similar goals. Theirs plenty of business to go around and I will be the first to tell you I don’t have all the answers so I constantly am learning something new from my girl gang!

I have a passion for connecting people and love networking. Real estate has been a blessing that I am able to do both. Being involved in the community has given me the opportunity to meet so many industry partners and local entrepreneurs and let me learn more about my backyard and what’s going on in my city. If you have the time I highly recommend looking into your local Chamber of Commerce to see about their leadership programs, it’s eye opening!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a transplant from the East Coast and I’ve been here going on 14 yrs. The list of attractions is endless….it literally is like a resort lifestyle in my backyard, with so many museums, attractions, restaurants, resorts and hikes it’s hard to be bored! I haven’t even explored all of Phoenix yet!

I’m always up for a hike when visitors from out of town come to visit and love seeing their expressions when we reach the top for the views. We love to support local and have found some of the best hidden gems whether its local shops or restaurants. I think my favorite part is whether you are an artsy type of person or what a good concert Phoenix has everything to offer! I reside in the East Valley and we always find an event that’s kid friendly most weekends. This past weekend was Roots N Boots Rodeo in Queen Creek and next weekend we are heading to a concert on the West Side.

One of my girlfriends came into town a few years ago and we rented a car for a quick 24 hr get away. We hit Four Corners, Horseshoe Bend, the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona and made it back to Gilbert for happy hour at OSHO. That is probably my favorite to do, just get up and explore where I live. I still need to make it to Prescott for the Rodeo in July one of these years and I want to hike Havasu Falls.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be able to share my story with you today if I didn’t have a freaking incredible support system behind me! I’ve had my license for almost a decade and when I decided after kids to jump back in headfirst, with my husbands blessing and support, I looked to my brokerage and found the Rockstar’s within the r3homegroup at DeLex Realty. From helping with mentoring, last minute showings, industry best practices and answering questions when I call daily I would be lost without each and everyone of them- specifically Jeff Cayton, Paul Eide, and Joel Goldsmith. Barb Hoffman is really the silent hero and glue that holds me together….literally….from paperwork to deadlines she has kept me in compliance from day 1!

I wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for my clients who have turned into friends and family. They entrust me for probably the biggest purchase of their lives then put their name on the line for referrals. Your utmost loyalty does not go unnoticed. I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the most beautiful souls, crazy outgoing wild ones and had a few tough cookies along the way. I’ve always walked away though knowing they’ve each taught me something to make me a better agent.

Industry veterans and fellow colleagues have all contributed in one way or another. I love the support we all share and encouragement to succeed!
