We had the good fortune of connecting with David Kaheh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?

Find a Good Job. We’ve all heard the advice: go to school, get a degree, land a good job, and live comfortably. But what if there’s more to the story?

While education is valuable, many college graduates with business degrees find themselves stuck in jobs that don’t align with their passions. They chase someone else’s dream instead of their own. But yeah, they have a “good job.”

Schools rarely teach the realities of jobs and money in a broader sense. They don’t equip students to turn their passions into careers. Imagine building a business around what you love, making money while doing something fulfilling.

The question isn’t just about getting a good job, it’s about pursuing your own path. It’s about turning your skills and interests into a successful venture you can be proud of. It’s about having a “Good Life.”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I would first recommend we stay at the Phoenician Resort for a couple of nights. This place is so beautiful, built in 1985 by Charles Keating who had a vision to build a luxury resort that would display the elegance and sophistication of Europe right here in Arizona. It stands out as a sparkling gem in the Sonoran Desert. The Phoenician has an ample claim to fame. It is known worldwide and has been the accommodation of choice for visiting celebrities like Stevie Nicks, athletes, and former Presidents like George W. Bush. I personally have met a lot of actors and I have had the privilege of driving stars like Jennifer Lopez, David Spade, and Mike Tyson to name a few.

The resort was featured in the 1987 movie “Raising Arizona” starring Nicholas Cage. The Phoenician has also been the subject of television shows “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous” and “Luxury Getaways” on the Travel Channel. It really is a must to experience in real life. They win numerous prestigious awards year after year for the resort itself, its golf course, spa, dining, tennis courts, and green efforts. The resort is earth-conscious and makes an effort to conserve energy and recycle which I appreciate.

Next, we would explore Old Town Scottsdale, experience Ifly, Scottsdale Gun Club, have dinner at Wrigley Mansion, and indulge in an unforgettable dinner surrounded by breathtaking views of the Valley!

Then we’d hike Camelback Mountain and have breakfast at Elements restaurant and enjoy extraordinary views of Paradise Valley Arizona, visit Desert Botanical Garden and discover the tranquil vibrancy of desert plants nested amid the red rocks of the Papago buttes to explore the fascinating beauty of the Sonoran desert. The landscapes here are beyond words, taking every moment we can to admire the beauty.

Then I’d recommend taking a trip down to Pima Air & Space Museum located in Tucson Arizona. It is one of the world’s largest non-government-funded aerospace museums. It features a display of nearly 400 aircraft spread out over 80 Acres and it has been home to the Arizona Aviation Hall of Fame. It’s amazing to see and admire all the innovation each of them has.

A good vacation should definitely include a couple of nights at Tanque Verde Ranch. With 150 years of history, Tanque Verde Ranch is one of America’s old-time cattle and guest Ranches located on 60.000 acres of Tucson’s most breathtaking desert landscapes, nestled amongst the Rincon Mountains and adjacent to Saguaro National Park. Tanque Verde Ranch is recognized as the last luxurious outpost of the Old West providing guests with comfortable accommodations. We would enjoy activities out on the ranch, including horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, hiking, and more. It’s one of my favorite places!

Then I would take my guest to Sedona Arizona and stay a couple of nights in L’Auberge De Sedona Resort situated on the banks of Oak Creek in the heart of Sedona. We’d explore Sedona’s attractions and take a Scenic flight over the Grand Canyon. It is an incredible view from the air!

Come back to the valley and stay a couple of nights at Sanctuary Resort, an Oasis of calm tucked away into one of Scottsdale’s most recognizable rock formations, Camelback Mountain before leaving the town.

I love to show people around this great state of Arizona, there is so much to see and do. That’s why my family and I have made Phoenix our home.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

Success looks different for everyone. But for me, it stemmed from experiencing the contrasting approaches of Europe and the United States.

In Europe, with its social democracy, I felt a sense of control and limitations. The U.S., on the other hand, thrives on a culture of freedom and opportunity. Here, hard work and a focus on positive contributions are rewarded.

Many Americans might take this unique environment for granted. However, for me, it’s been the key factor in my success. This free society allows me to pursue my passions and build a fulfilling career. There are no artificial limits – the sky truly is the limit.

The American emphasis on positive interactions resonates deeply. Focusing on “good” behavior creates enjoyable and memorable experiences for everyone involved, including myself and those I work with. This sense of freedom and positive reinforcement has had the biggest impact on my life.
