We had the good fortune of connecting with Dee Vashti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dee, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I started my 1st company at 17 so I would say in regards to balance the shifts have been dramatic from 17-25 all The major learning curves, 25-30 dialing all the mistakes in and creating better methods,. We will jump to the current decade to the now!

30-38 “HOW TO WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER”!
I gave up so much time, energy and effort to shit companies, business owners and unnecessary “work” thinking I was grinding, hustling work as many hours a week 60-80 & taking and looking at every business as a new client. I did as much as I could to be honest. To be the best & have “successful” companies. I now can say I only work 3 days a week for my business that “, helps other people’s businesses. I do own a separate co. That is my own & solely market and work that on my chosen days. I qualify my clients and their services so we can build relationships and not just go through clients. ultimately more pulls you in so many direction you lose quality in all things. Become drained & lose enjoyment. So I spend my time, efforts and energy; efficiently! I love how the work & life flow. I believe in life by design. Make your plan, go for it. Make your mistakes & improve until you get Yo the life you are looking to create, then I think it naturally moves in a way for you that Is A LIFE OF BALANCE that feels like your cup full!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I original opened a door to door delivery co.! I delivered advertising materials for local co.’s in “good neighborhoods”! They had a good return, I got more and business and I had that for over 10+ years. I went from delivery only, to design, Printing, collating & branding packages for clients. Then I opened a local magazine & savings guide and had clients from Vegas to Zion in no time! That lasted also 10+ years.

This was an amazing thing, as time went on digital became a thing and I went to school on creating a Creative Ad Agency for businesses! I own that today and it is thriving! Follow me @industykarma & @socialsistar to see content work with clients. I love this space and how I have really been able to help all my original clients transition into the digital world without missing a beat and being ahead of some by a lot!!! I also am a party stylist for our co. @cheersrentals where we rent mobile bar “vintage Italian Piaggio”, event props & rentals for parties of every occasion!

1st My husband Nick Dombey. We have always had each other’s back and supported each other 150% in every venture, dream, goal and LIFE LESSONS, good & bad! He has been the only person that has helped me, as much as I have helped him & continues to do so in every way for our legacy and families! Grateful. Honestly THE #1 real deal is very client who let me help them work towards their business goals, gave me an opportunity to learn and grow either with them short term or long term. Without them truly I would not be able to love the life I do today!
