We had the good fortune of connecting with Destiny Fleets and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Destiny, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I’ve always had an optimistic approach in life. Imagining what life would be like if I decided to give up instead of keep going, I feel it my heart and my spirit that this is the path for me. It will be ups and downs, highs and lows. Remembering consistency is key. But always remember to do everything with intention. Giving up is just not an option. Let’s say if I ever felt discouraged I will remind myself why I’m doing what I’m doing and the work it took to get where I’m at.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Hello everyone! My name is Destiny also know as @arizonafoodbae. I’m an Arizona native and I grew up in a household of 6 siblings and my parents who loved food and cooking. I believe getting in the kitchen or trying a different restaurant was a way of bonding and showing love. I used to observe my parents and siblings in the kitchen and being independent I even started making my own meals at a very young age. I love cooking for people and watch them try my food and rave about it, I’m like “Yes, I did that!” Food Network has always been my favorite network growing up, I spent a lot of my free time watching shows like Diners, Drive-ins and dives, Beat Bobby Flay, 30- minute meals and Down Home with The Neelys. I got into this industry by first just recording videos and capturing pictures of everything I did. I probably started an instagram account a couple years ago with just food photos and last year in October I created another account and was like okay, it’s time to get serious about this content because it genuinely makes me happy. I don’t look at it as work, even though it is I look at it as my safe haven. It was not easy starting because I was not consistent and I would put creating content to the side but things took off once I started becoming more consistent and treating it as a passion, and I’m very passionate about content creating.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s so many things to do in Arizona. Here’s an itinerary I would have planned out if a friend was visiting in town: first I would take them to SugarJam for brunch. The next day a hot air balloon because it’s fun and adventurous, plus Arizona Sunrises are unmatched, then after we would be super hungry we would go to Brunch & Sip for a nice mimosa flight and food. Finishing the day by booking a spa pass on ResportPass. For the last day, it would start off by riding down to Sedona for an adventure on the Pink Jeep Tours, then driving back to Phoenix and enjoying dinner in Tempe at Lush Cafe and Lounge. After we could take a stroll through downtown Phoenix because there are so many bars like Bitter & Twisted, Diablo Rooftop, The Rose Garden AZ and Barcoa Agaveria.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a shoutout to all the businesses and all the foodies who consistently work hard to provide great recommendations for Arizona natives and people prepared to travel here. It’s such a great help when someone needs help putting together an itinerary.
