We had the good fortune of connecting with Diana Blewer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diana, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to do something that you love with all your heart that will shine a positive light on others. Since I became the CFO of the local talent agency DDP Worldwide, I realized that there are so many amazing local country artists in the Valley who all have a story to tell. It opened my eyes to see that there needed to be more representation for the community, and so I worked with my husband Dennis to bring the talent management agency to life so these artists could have their voices heard.

I know I’m in the right place because I’ve always loved music and I listened to every genre growing up. I’m fascinated by the raw emotions a music artist can convey through a song and how it can touch others. Bridging the gap between what I’ve always loved with my work has shown me how beautiful it is to lift others up and share stories and talent that everyone needs to hear.

What should our readers know about your business?
My husband and I founded the Gilbert-based talent management agency DDP Worldwide in 2021 to develop, book and promote local and national music artists,
entertainers and speakers for the world’s largest stages and strive to secure the most lucrative jobs for them in the entertainment industry. The agency has the record label Live Life Global Music and Live Life Productions for artists to utilize and succeed in their careers. From working with artists around the Valley, we also recently launched the Arizona Desert Country Music Association to give extra resources to local artists and promote country music through a variety of events, programs and other initiatives.

Something new with the agency, and what I’ve been most excited about, is that we started a new radio show on 96.3 Real Country called Arizona on the Rise airing on Sunday nights at 7 p.m. highlighting country music artists in the Valley and giving them a platform to share their voice. Me and my husband Dennis host the show with another local country singer and good friend Shari Rowe. I love hearing the artists’ stories and how they got to where they are today and how they share it through their music.

No two days are ever the same in the music industry. A lesson I learned that is crucial for success is you must have a great work ethic, which provides a set of values that guide professional behavior, encompass integrity, responsibility, quality, discipline and teamwork. It’s like you’re in another marriage and put 100% of your heart and soul into everything you do. And I wouldn’t want to have it any other way!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take my friends to the local music venue and BBQ restaurant Foley Ranch up in Desert Ridge. A lot of our artists perform there monthly, and it’s always a great show and a great time! They do line dancing there too and have amazing food. I would also show my friends other fun food spots in Phoenix and take them to fun places to shop and look around like in Old Town Scottsdale.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to everyone who has supported me and continues to support me daily. My biggest supporter has been my husband, Dennis. His work ethic inspires me every day, and the more he works for his goals and dreams, it inspires me to do the same.

I also want to shout out my father, who was a true entrepreneur. He inspires me to work hard and he always found a way to help people and make the community a better place.
