Meet Dr. Elizabeth Livengood | Primary Care Doctor, Owner of Livengood Health

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Elizabeth Livengood and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Elizabeth, is there something you believe many others might not?
Lots of books and business gurus insist that you need a Business Coach in order to start or grow your business ideas. One problem with that is that they do not know your business, your skills, your goals at all. You will spend an enormous amount of time and energy getting them up to speed that could have been utilized directly on your business. Even after that time spent with them, they still may not fill the gaps in growth or knowledge that you hoped they would. Another problem with this advice is that coaches are costly. You are the one with the ideas and expertise, so why not put your money directly into lauching them. The bottom line is to trust yourself. You can do this without asking other people what they think you should do.

What should our readers know about your business?
Livengood Health is a lifelong journey that started in 6th grade when I discovered a fascination with how the human body works and decided to become a doctor. Combined with a philosophical, curious mind and great faith in my spiritual practice, my practice was destined to be holistic. My practice is unique because we do everything from writing prescriptions and starting IV’s to healing emotional wounds and coaching people through mental anguish. We are holistic beings, so it’s only appropriate to have an integrated medical practice that addresses all aspects of our health. Every person who walks through our doors is treated with the highest respect for their beliefs, culture, and other preferences. No conversation is taboo because there may be clues to the cause of dis-ease hidden in these layers of our existence.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I was born and raised in the Phoenix area, but I do love how our suburbs are among the safest and most welcoming places in the country. I would definitely take them on a few hikes to enjoy the beauty of the desert and perhaps see some wildlife. We would visit the Desert Botanical Gardens to get a more educated view of these things and eat lunch at Gertrude’s on the property. We would take an overnight trip to Jerome to visit my dad’s birthplace and visit some of the local wineries around Cottonwood. We would circle back through Sedona and Oak Creek because these place, with their views, are completely unique to Arizona. I would also give them a night flight over Arizona in my son’s plane with him as the pilot. Finally, we would visit my friend’s restaurant, Craft 64, which was voted in the top 3 Arizona pizzerias and the top 50 in the whole country! Evenings would be spent in my suburban sanctuary, watching stars float over our firepit and pool. No wonder we are the fastest growing state in the nation.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My motto is Family First, not only because spreading love starts in the home, but also because these are the people I can count on for support. They offer encouragement, moral support, financial help at times and even sweat and physical labor!
