We had the good fortune of connecting with Dulce Felix and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dulce, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
If you don’t take the risk you won’t find out about what is possible . Take risks and you will get to places you never even imagined you would get too . Take the risk and you will learn and see what works and what does not . I feel much better knowing I did the work to find out what’s on the other end than to let the fear of failure take over not letting me grow . So I say take that risk and grow and see about all the great possibilities.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started making art pieces in a time of grief . During my healing journey. My husband encouraged me to find something that may help me . So as I tried many crafts I found that making sun catchers and jewelry made me very happy .It was the day that a Sun catcher I made filled the entire room with rainbows that I felt I had found my gift . It encouraged me to open my windows on hard days . The sun light and rainbows coming in would always help me .It was a huge part of healing .It taught me to heal and to process things in a healthy way .I turned this into a business because opening my windows and seeing my sun catchers create rainbows was very uplifting . It changed the vibe in the room and helped me in a time of grief . I thought if this helps me maybe it can help someone else too . It brought me and my family even closer as we all went through grief together.I hope to inspire people to work on themselves and to find what helps them in hard times .I hope to show people you can heal in many ways and that many things can be very therapeutic.Find what works and stick to what feels the best to you . My small business experience has been a learning one . Everyday we learn more and even if mistakes have been made . I am glad because that’s how we learn . I am coming up on two years in this small business.I am so happy I took the risk of starting my own small business.
