We had the good fortune of connecting with Elisa Wiggins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elisa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create a safe space to inspire people to find community while offering healing tools that have helped my growth, to aid in one’s life journey and come into their truth, imagination, and spirituality.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a charcoal artist but love all mediums. I am called to create spiritual works, pet portraits, nature and create a new style of urn called Sacred Memorials for our loved ones people and pet ashes. I set Sacred Space by meditating on intentions and asking for guidance of what wants to come through to bring out emotion and a person, to encourage people to heal and stand in their power, to find their voices and paths by connecting to their Spirit guides and the truth of who they are. I would not be where I am today without trusting that there will be something magical on the other side. As an artist, it’s knowing that I will be able to draw or paint the image I see in my mind and then I’ll connect with the people that align with my imagination and creations, whether it be through shows or a simple conversation on the streets. Visionary Healing Arts Gallery not only consists of my own works of art, but other local artists as well to support and encourage them, but also to inspire me. I set an altar space of crystals, I play musical instruments, I dance, I chant, listen to high vibrational music, burn sage, Palo Santo and whatever else wants to be on the altar to bring sacredness to each image. I infuse the energy of love and truth, to speak to the person that feels connected and called to take their art home. I do all this from the beginning of building my canvases from the grounding Earth element wood, to the end of the finished masterpiece. I give honor to the whole process so when my clients receive, they know they are bringing something sacred into their spaces physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I want people to know that I honor them and that they are safe, loved, and respected through all my creations. From one day to 6 weeks, I reset the space every time I sit down to create. I begin it all with cleansing myself spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically first so that I am a clear, pure channel of divine creation. I incorporate how I practice and guide yoga into my daily life, always with intention. As an intuitive yoga guide it’s knowing I will be given exactly what needs to be taught or spoken about to each person, including myself, as we are all teachers for one another. In my social circles, it’s knowing I have a right to speak my voice and for it to be heard, as do others. There have been challenges however I’m learning to let go of the judgment of something to be good or bad, right or wrong, in pain or pleasure, and loss or gain. It is from this place of receiving what is, to just be, and then I can take whatever is on the other side and allow it to be a return to my truest self. Anything is possible, even in adversity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First and foremost a day at the lake and the London Bridge. A hike through Sara Park. Lunch at Herbs Herbs, Dinner at Shugrues and back at the lake to watch our amazing sunsets.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Most important my meditation/ yoga pracrice that keeps me connected to God, and my family and friends. Ruben Chato, Bailey McVicker, Stephanie Schwingel, Jojo Banales, Rikki Gahr have all been my mentors, guiding me to remember to believe in myself.

Shoutout to my mom and dad.

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert and Happiness becomes You by Tina Turner have been two inspirational books that have helped me along my journey, to dream big and that anything is possible.
