We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emily, how do you think about risk?
I took a risk of doing completely opposite of societal norms. I quit my full time job in the middle of the pandemic in 2020 when things were just starting to shut down. I could have fallen into fear and made my decisions out of fear, but I knew if there were no risk taking, I would stay exactly where I was. I would never have taken the leap if I didn’t do it right then and there. There are risks you take almost every day as an entrepreneur. You take the risks of purchasing something new for your business whether you know it will work or not, you risk talking to the person next to you about your business not really knowing if they care or not , you risk your time doing things that may or may not benefit your business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I fell in love with fitness from my own journey. My own personal experience is what sets me apart from everyone else. Without ME, my story , my journey and background, I would not be able to relate to my clients. I would not know what I know today , I would not be able to help as many women as I am able to now. I LOVE helping women completely change their life for the better; when they message me or call me and tell that I changed their life, that they feel the best they ever have or that without me their health would have suffered; I know that I am fulfilling my purpose and it continues to light a fire inside of me.

The Positively Fit Community itself is completely different than any other community. Most describe it as the #1 Health Community for women. We provide women services / hands – on guidance / education and support in their nutritional, exercise and personal / family life. We help them completely adapt a whole new lifestyle by ditching fad and unrealistic diets / habits and unsustainable body types. We are defeating societal norms and setting women up for success to live their best life and feel the most CONFIDENT they ever have. THAT is so special.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would work or meet up with clients or other entrepreneurs at JoJo’s coffee, absolutely love that place! Their coffee is so amazing and their food is delicious! Blanco Cocina + Cantina is a great mexican restaurant as well! I love hiking so I always plan to do a hike at south mountain or wave cave!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be here without my dad who supported me from day one. He called me the day I “started” working as a private contractor with the Positively Fit Community and said “Today is the start of a new chapter, I’m so proud of you”. I most definitely would not be where I am today without my partner / friend / mentor / non biological sister , Megan Loda. She is the CEO of the Positively Fit Community (PFC) and I was her first “risk” , her first ever coach of the PFC. We have grown so much over the last 5 years and it’s been so amazing to work with her. Also, our team of coaches, now six of us.
