Meet Erica Lynne | E Alo, music made with love.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Lynne and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erica, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.
My local library would sell old books for 25 cents each and a few times a month I would go see what was available. One day I found “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey. I brought it home with me that day thinking to myself, I’d sure like to be more effective. I was fresh out of high school, needed a little guidance and had never read any self help book before… “7 Habits” ended up being the perfect fit. It introduced me to so many simple yet necessary concepts that no one I knew personally had shared with me and helped me unlocked my potential in a few ways. It had major impacts on my thinking and behavior. One of my favorite habits in the book is #1. Be Proactive – it’s not only necessary but so empowering to take responsibility and initiative over my situation rather than blame or depend on others. I also really love the Matrix of Importance vs. Urgency that Mr. Covey discusses in habit #3. It can be hard to prioritize tasks, especially if you have a lot on your plate. the matrix can be a simple and clear guide to help you see through the fog and get things done as they should be. And finally I’d like to mention just one more lesson from the book I really value… think win/win. Whenever I work with others, I do everything I can to ensure a mutually beneficial experience. We can create more magic together than we can alone and I believe win/win scenarios help keep the fire of collaboration burning bright.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I create music with all the love in my heart, calling them “melodies made with love”. I hope to warm your heart, touch your soul, and even get your toes tapping with my instrumental electronic sounds.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely float down the salt river, and if we are lucky, see the family of wild horses that live along the river… head up to Sedona for a hike on west fork trail and maybe a little creek stomping if it’s a hot day. Take a paddle board out to canyon lake to explore and enjoy the water.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my friend Andrea. She is a compassionate, thoughtful, funny and loyal friend who has been by my side through my toughest moments in adulthood. She’s helped me see the light and make it out the other side for the better when I didn’t think it was possible. She is a great mother and an amazing friend and I’m so grateful to have her in my life. Thanks Andrea! Love you and thank you for all you are and all you do girl!
