We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Frank and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erin, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is all about balance. There is risk in everything we do and what we don’t do. But really in terms of my professional life, risk doesn’t play a factor. I only pursue things that I am truly passionate about. And when I have that drive, things fall into place. As cheesy as it sounds, the only risk that would exist in my career choices would be to not follow my heart.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a pelvic floor physical therapist and a yoga instructor. I am so grateful to specialize in this subset of physical therapy and love the overlap it shared with my passion for the yoga tradition. I am honored to walk along side folks in learning more about their minds and bodies to a more sustainable & easy way of being. I continue to learn that there is so much to learn; about the world, people and myself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well they would have to come take a bikram yoga class with me. At least every other day. A trip to the market to come back home and make good food w good music with the windows open would have to happen. I also have a penchant for contemporary art, which is very slowly becoming more prominent in Austin. Beyond that, I’d choose to go to a comedy show or an independent film..

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Two people really: Gianna Purcell, and my mom
