Meet Frank Richardson | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Frank Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Frank, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It really started with God. He saw the gift in me before I did. I’ve always loved capturing real moments and seeing people light up when they see themselves through my lens — that joy stuck with me.
My amazing wife helped birth the name Richer Moments Photography, and from there, it became clear this was more than just taking pictures. It was about using my eye to serve others, honor God, and create moments that last.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Richer Moments Photography is more than just photos — it’s about the experience. What sets me apart is the atmosphere I create. I love seeing people who started off uncomfortable end their session smiling, confident, and full of joy. I don’t just take pictures — I bring vision to life, and I do it with heart.
How did I get here? Practice. Then more practice. And truthfully, I’m still growing. I don’t chase perfection — I chase progress. Every shoot teaches me something new, and I stay committed to the process.
Some lessons I’ve learned? Communication is key — both in understanding what the client wants and clearly sharing what I need from them. I’ve learned how to guide posing, set a vibe, and make sure every client feels seen and heard.
What I want the world to know is this: Richer Moments Photography is here to create unforgettable images and even more unforgettable experiences. We bring joy, creativity, clarity, and care into every session — and we aim to leave you with something that not only looks good but feels meaningful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to town, we’d make sure it was a week full of flavor, fun, and faith.
We’d start with food — because Arizona’s got some hidden gems. Little Miss BBQ is non-negotiable, especially for smoked meat lovers. Then we’d head to Osaka Japanese Steakhouse for dinner and a show — the experience is just as good as the meal. For that Southern comfort, Satchmo’s serves some of the best Louisiana food I’ve had out here.
But we’re not done yet — I’d take them to Floridino’s Pizza & Pasta in Chandler. Their pizza is top-tier, and the vibe makes you feel right at home. And if they’re craving tacos or burritos, we’re going to Taqueria Mi Casita. That spot is packed with flavor — everything from the meats to the sauces hits hard. I highly recommend it.
In between all the food, we’d soak in some culture at the Chandler Museum, and then take a walk through Downtown Phoenix where the walls are alive with art. I’d tell them, “Keep that camera ready — there’s creativity around every corner.”
To top it off, we’d make the drive to Sedona. Watching the colors of the mountains shift as the light changes is something you never forget — it’s like a personal moment between you and God.
And we’d wrap the trip with Sunday service at Faith Christian Center. Because as much as I love good food and fun, nothing fills you like the Word. That’s how you end a trip — grounded, grateful, and spirit-fed.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without question, my wife. She’s been my biggest supporter, my encourager, and the one who holds me to the standard God placed on my life. She believes in me even on the days I don’t believe in myself — and she refuses to let me quit. Not only is she my partner in Christ, she’s also the COO of Richer Moments Photography. She helps carry the vision, manage the behind-the-scenes, and keep the business grounded in excellence.
I also have to honor my mother, Belinda Gates. Her determination and her faith have shaped who I am. She gets things done and does them well, and she’s always been led by her trust in God. Her example of strength and prayer taught me how to keep moving forward, even when it’s tough.
Both of these women have played major roles in helping me become the man, leader, and creative I am today.
