We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabrielle Dixon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabrielle, what do you attribute your success to?
This is going to sound really Cliché but my relationship with Jesus Christ. Before, I started my business I was in a deep depression. I had quit my job due to harassment and the love of my life (at the time lol) just confessed to me that he had messed around and got someone pregnant. My world was shattered. I was 28 and my life was not going to plan at all. This was officially my rock bottom. Some days I wouldn’t get out of bed. One day out of the blue I got a call from a family member, we talked for a while and he started checking in on me frequently. One day he shared his faith with me. I thought to myself, I literally tried everything else and I still feel empty. Let me try to be serious about my Christianity, what do I have to lose. It was Exactly what I needed to be the women I am today. I see I needed to get rid of those things that was giving me grief. After that, I started making divine relationships and connections with other like mined people and the rest is history in the making.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
To be where I am today took a lot. When I first had the idea of having a business, I reached out to other local business to see what I needed to start and business and what made them successful. After I came up with what business I wanted, my next goal was to make a product that people not only wanted but needed. When I was younger I always liked the idea of getting pamper with natural skincare products. I remember one time I told my mom for my prom I wanted to go to a spa and get a milk and honey bath with rose petals. She laughed at me and said who’s paying for that!! When she said that it dawned on me that service and products like that would not be affordable for a lot people. When I got older, I started going to church more and came across the part in the Bible where a women washed Jesus’s feet, put oil on them and used her hair to dry his feet. Talk about service!!! I said to myself, if oils where good enough for Jesus, I think others would appreciate it too. So that got me to thinking about all natural hemp skincare products. This way my products can make you feel good, heal your skin condition at the same time and affordable for the everyday person. Thus, Regina Rose was born.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my best friend comes into town, we love to hit up the farmer’s markets. Uptown Farmer’s market, ParkWest farmer’s market , and Arrowhead farmer’s market is our favorites. We are also big foodies. We enjoy restaurants like Steak 44, Buck and Rider, and Pappadeaux.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A huge shoutout to Big Red’s Hot Sauce and KCI Ministries. Thank you for everything you have done for Regina Rose. Without both of you there would be no Regina Rose.
