We had the good fortune of connecting with Geoff Rubin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Geoff , how would your deploy a million dollars, if you had to invest it right now?
I’ve always loved theoretical questions surrounding money, because it drives me towards making them more of a reality. Here is how I would invest $1 million right now. I would break down the $1 million into quarters and do the following 25% – Invested into a high yield money market savings account to ensure my families well being 25% – Invested into a cash management account predominantly strong balance sheet equities as I’m young and time for the market to recover 25% – Invested into housing for investment properties 25% – Immediate contributions to causes / charities I value and better use the excess freedom I have with the money acquired to donate my most precious commodity….. time.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Fitness Propelled LLC has been providing exceptional personal training services for close to 10 years now. Every year comes new challenges this year particularly due to the Covid-19 epidemic. During times of uncertainty whether it be this year or others, I’ve realized that it is incredibly important to have multiple different venues of service and avenues of service, for example online, live streaming, etc. Fitness Propelled is built to endure and our core values of perseverance, positive mental attitudes and an un-comparable work ethic will lead us to a continued successful future.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ohh, this would be awesome.. I would take my friend up to Sedona, stop by Tlaquepaque and grab a few drinks at Oak Creek Brewery, then head across the way to either Elote café or Javelina Cantina for some food. From Sedona, we would head down to Jerome and enjoy some of the local artistry shops, the haunted hotel and grub out at the haunted hamburger. Headed back to the valley, we would enjoy some partying in old town and after some time recovering from a night out, head over and get in some of the best hiking anywhere in the world and hit up Squaw Peak or Camelback. Still going strong, i’d encourage us to enjoy some live music wherever and then finish up a world wind tour at some of Scottsdale’s finest resorts.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a ton of people who have contributed to my businesses success.. Lets focus on as many key contributors, organizations and books as I can. My parents are key drivers in everything that I do, they instilled incredible key values such as dedication, hard work and persistence. My wife, for constantly supporting me through the rides of life. The SBDC (Small Business and Development Center) for providing multiple mentors that have assisted me with key business logistics. Everyone of my clients, current, past, etc for teaching me how to be a better personal trainer. My long time trainer who’s been with me for years and is a key contributor to Fitness Propelleds growth. Finally, to all the books that have helped make both myself and my business better, for example Principles by Ray Dalio, Bounce by Keith McFarland, etc.
