Meet Grip Face | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Grip Face and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Grip, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started to create very early, since I was very young I always knew I wanted to be an artist. Art has always been the perfect tool to communicate with the environment and I could not live without it. That’s why I have focused my entire professional life in relation to it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Just the other day I was talking about these issues with a very special person for me, really everything has been based on having the same enthusiasm and vision from minute one. I come from a very humble family that taught me the value of effort and learn above all to get up when hard falls come. My work has been my therapy and my salvation, art has been the tool to overcome all my fears and traumas and all those things that I don’t understand about the world we live in. Light and shadow come together in a balance to find a dialogue with the times and with a look of overcoming and antidote. Since I was a child I thought about changing the world, but now I only want the world not to change me. And above all I would like people to take the time to reflect on their footprint on their environment and what role we are doing to generate a less harmful world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to a couple of secret coves on my island (Mallorca) and I would also take them to different points of the Spanish geography. Bathing in spring and then going to eat local products.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have many special people to whom I would dedicate, but this would be the first Alfons Olivas, Jordi Pallarés, Pruna, Fausto Amundarain, Dolç, Miguel, Jimena…
