We had the good fortune of connecting with Phyllis Zanichkowsky and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Phyllis, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I feel that it is important to go the extra mile, “treating others how I would want to be treated.” Order-takers are a dime a dozen in my field, so it is important to separate myself as a savvy financial professional that they can come to for solid advice anytime they need it. I always guide my clients to do things the way I would do things myself, regardless of whether it means starting the loan today, delaying them to help them build their credit scores first (or during the process)… or even recommending that they do not proceed at all. Being open and genuine with them helps me earn their trust and their repeat business for years to come.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
With over 20 years of a financial services background, I obtained my mortgage license in 2012, I have always been passionate about finance… and I love helping people. Becoming a licensed mortgage professional was second nature to me, as it merged 2 things I love… people and numbers. I personalize each mortgage to incorporate my clients’ goals and help them strategize to get the maximum financial benefit with the least amount of costs. Operating from a heart of servitude, I take the time to educate my clients during the process, guiding them to make well informed decisions. My clients often tell me that they learned more during 1 transaction with me, than they learned in their past 5 transactions combined, which is why many of them come back to me every time they need to Refinance or want to Purchase another home. Working with an experienced Loan Officer makes a HUGE difference in the speed and simplicity of your mortgage transaction. There are hundreds of tiny details involved that determine whether your Mortgage gets approved or denied…. so studying the minutia in the guildelines and guiding my clients helps me keep their transactions moving smoothly.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite local places to visit are: Cave Creek, where you can still find real cowboys and it looks like you went back in time. Cottonwood/Verde Valley, where you can visit vineyards and go wine tasting only 90 minutes away. Sedona, where you can see the beautiful red rock vistas and find lots of hiking trails.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe much of my success to my Mom, who taught me unconditional love and always encouraged me to follow my dreams. She helped me see that the more that we serve others, the more we are blessed in return.
