We had the good fortune of connecting with Hayden Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hayden, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Humans have an interesting relationship with risk, and by understanding that, I think we can harness it to its fullest potential.

In the past, our risk detecting systems were for things that can kill us. See a lion eating a deer? You can go fight the lion for the deer, but the risk would be too great for the reward, so we’d settle for hunting ourselves or dig up a tuber from the ground.

We live in a vastly different world now, but still have the same primitive mechanisms in our head. When it comes to a business decision, giving a presentation, approaching someone you admire, the same system fires one message: this action = death.

Become aware of this has been life changing for me. When it comes to business, realizing that taking the risk will not result in my sure demise, but rather at worst will lead to me to get a job, at best gain outsized returns I can’t fathom puts things into perspective. That approaching someone you admire or someone for help won’t lead to isolation from your pack and death, but at worst you get ignored, at best you gain someone you trust, allows me to confidently put one foot in front of the other.

This singular principle alone has allowed me to pursue clients I thought I’d never attain, create relationships with authors who have sold millions of copies of their books worldwide, and in my personal life, live a life that’s authentically my own.

Redefine risk, Redefine your life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Logic Sales is about one thing: taking the business owner out of the sales process and letting them focus on what their care about – innovation and impact. There are very few people who start their businesses who want to sell. It’s difficult and an entirely new skillset. By providing them the expertise and the infrastructure required, we help lay the foundation to build our your multi-million dollar business.

The best lessons while building this business has all been by the sweat of my brow and bravery in the face of uncertainty. My first business was not sales but was in fact a tutoring business. However, capital was low, and decided I ought to get a position learning something all business owners should understand: sales. Learning was easy up until that point: but people aren’t as easy to “solve” as an equation. They’re all unique and have their own separate needs. Managers and sales coaches definitely bridged large gaps for me, but their knowledge would have been nothing but shelf decor if I didn’t apply. By taking risks, asking the uncomfortable questions, and constantly pushing to learn the whole sales cycle rather than just the conversation, I built the foundation to begin consulting for businesses and sales teams alike.

The number one lesson I want to share with everybody is take the leap. I’ve always been a textbook overthinker, wanting to understand every single angle before jumping into something. Unfortunately, there’s always another question unanswered, and that left me in a state of perpetual inaction. One day, I came across a quote from a co-founder of Netflix: “I learn more in 30 minutes of doing than 6 months of thinking about it”. That changed my perspective. From there, I went all in: despite my uncertainties, I pushed forward and have been able to compound my knowledge and skill far faster than I thought possible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a very active individual, and I’d say one of the great benefits of being in Arizona is the lovely weather we have. I would take them to Gilbert Regional Park to experience the liveliness of pickleball, play some spikeball in the local sand volleyball courts. Perhaps I’d take them on a hike to Usery Park and enjoy the desert beauty we’re surrounded by.

When it comes to food, Arizona’s Mexican food is unrivaled. I’m particularly voracious when it comes to street tacos. So hitting up spots like Taco Boys or Tacos Tijuana is always a great option. Big fan of pizza as well, so places like Pomo or Spinato’s is a must.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to thank my family for their ongoing support and for setting the foundation for my success early in life

I’d like to thank my peer network for consistently re-calibrating my standard for success and consistently pushing each other in all aspects of life.

I’d like to thank my sophomore accounting professor for unknowingly changing the course of my life by encouraging us to learn how to learn, thus accelerating my success in all areas.
